xx Phil-Era Costumes (Real and Imaginary)
« Thread started on: Apr 27th, 2015, 4:36pm »

This thread is for discussion of all real Phil-Era live tour costumes, and imaginary ones (ie, ones we wish he'd used or could have used for certain songs). The imaginary ones aren't to second-guess the band; in fact they could certainly be used by any number of cover bands.

Real Phil-era Costumes include

"Sidney" (Say It's Alright Joe)

"Cheesy Suit and Sunglasses" (Illegal Alien)

"Rael's Leather Jacket" (In the Cage, MAMA Tour)

Imaginary Costumes

A druidic hoodie and creepy ceremonial mask for "Dance on a Volcano," a song that seems to be describing some very bizarre pagan ceremony or sacrifice.

Railway worker for Driving the Last Spike

TV Evangelist like the Music Video for Jesus He Knows Me

Scottish warrior (complete with kilt!) for Eleventh Earl of Mar!

Weird glasses and wool cap (Who Dunnit?)

Imaginary costumes...

Mickey Mouse ears (All In A Mouse's Night)
Crap spattered suit (Pigeons)
Ten gallon hat, chaps, & boots with spurs (Ballad Of Big)

I was just picturing something similar for "Me & Virgil"! (Which was actually performed live, unlike "Pigeons".)

The OP never specifies that the songs must have been performed live by the band. wink

Ah, yes, the old "since we're imagining things anyway"...

How come no one has mentioned the old hat and sunglasses for the Turn It On Again medley?
