Yes - that's the one LJ wink

I've suggested to a few people that it would be an ideal opprtunity for a big forum get-together and a kind of mini-Genesis convention. Plus it's long enough away (timewise) to be able to plan it properly.

I'll start having a look at nearby hotels - maybe they'd do a deal if enough people were going to stay over?

I know that the band have some great ideas for these shows - I'm hoping for a different complete album each night plus a different selection of songs.

Anyway - who else is up for this?

With absolutely no disrespect to G2 - but it's hardly a Genesis Convention (mini or otherwise) with only 1 tribute band !

Well, I don't mean "convention" in the traditional sense - i.e like Guildford or The Astoria is days past, just a convention of forum members and fellow fans.

Actually, let's just drop "convention" and call it a "gathering" grin

That sounds better doesn't it?

I was sat there in my deckchair with my hankie on my head and candy floss ready on Bournemouth Pier waiting to greet all of you, then you pulled out.

Shame! grin

Hi there

it isn't hard being an American, there's nothing stopping you flying to Europe - after all, enough of us Brits and Europeans have done it for gigs over the years - where's your spirit of adventure? wink

Too bad nothing was organized for the High Voltage Fest. last July (2010) on the Sunday when Steve Hackett played for about 9 minutes. (OK, more like 45? But it was a short set.)

I will be in the UK in february, and also going to see Hackett in Farnham, and would love to be a part of such gathering, last time I was in the UK was for the glorious Old trafford and Twickenham 2007 gigs smiley It's not very easy to go to the UK being from Chile! fingers crossed!
Cheers!
