Steve has tweeted he's working on a version of Afterglow... Carrack would be amazing on that if he's involved again...

Anyone notice the mistake in Steves tweet "Blood over the rooftops"? I am so looking forward to this cd!

Just read that John Wetton was recording vocals with Steve (presumably for the GR2 album) yesterday (on JW's website forum) Great that at least some of the same team are back on this project.

There's been a lot of cross pollination over the years within Genesis, but my wish-list for this would be something I could really drool over.
I would like to see the full Hackett treatment given to tracks he never recorded with Genesis.....
I would also love Gabriel to join him on half a dozen tracks..
1. Domino with Gabriel yes him! on vocals and Anthony Phillips on keyboard duties. Also give Daryl a workout on this one,a guitar dual/interaction with Steve!
2.Mama-Gabriel vocals, Chester drums
3.Guide Vocal -Gabriel vocals backing Steve and Ant
4.Undertow - Gabriel vocals Ant n Steve guitar
5.Fading Lights Gabriel Vocals help from Mike,Steve,Ant,Tony & Phil
6.Just a job to do -Gabriel vocals shared with Phil
Regards
Pete

Steve confirms: John Wetton sings Afterlow, also confirms Can-Utility, Horizons and SUPPER's READY being re-recorded
Also confirms double-album - re-recording somethings from solo career that were written with Genesis in mind inc something from VOTA and Camino Royale.

Hasn't Steve rerecorded "Horizons" enough times already? Well, maybe he'll do something different with it this time...
And Steve revisiting SR?? Sounds like he's asking for trouble...

This is sounding more interesting to my ears. Suppers Ready - I'm interested to hear how it will sound with modern production. Wonder who will sing this. Would be interesting if it's broken down into its smaller song sections and played through the album.
Would love to hear the rerecorded Hackett songs. Some old stuff from VOTA. Hmm wonder what it could be.
Looking forward to it now.

I may end up having to retract my previously dismissive comments if Supper's Ready is part of the package. I have to admit, my interest is suddenly piqued.

Even though clearly there is only one of me, (who said thank f....?)I am beside myself in anticipation - Musical box, Suppers ready, Afterglow, plus Steve has tweeted a few times and has dropped hints of new nylon guitar - for me it dont get any better than this. Bring it on I say!

So... To confirm what Steve has told us so far...
Musical Box Can Utility and the Coastliners Horizons Supper's Ready Dancing With the Moonlit Knight (with Simon Collins) The Chamber of 32 Doors Blood On The Rooftops (with Gary O'Toole) Afterglow (with John Wetton)
PLUS new versions of: Camino Royale un-named VOTA track.
Shaping up nicely, by the sounds of it.

Simon Collins - do we know if he is on both drums and vocals then?
I'll probably be getting this

From Nad Sylvan's facebook page - apparently, though I couldn't find/confirm any of this there!
http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=86943&FID=19&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+ProgNewsProgarchives+%28Press+Release+%2F+Prog+News+-+Progarchives.com%29
BREAKING NEWS!!
Ok, you might as well hear it from me first. So the Unifaun album, that caught the attention of mr Stolt some 3˝ years ago, lead up to the Agents of Mercy´s birth. As they say, "one thing leads to another" - very true! After three albums (plus a live album) with AOM this happens; About a month ago, I got a call from Steve Hackett (Genesis). He said he is in the process of making a sequal to his Genesis revisited album "Watcher of the Skies" (1996). He wondered if I would be interested in recording three songs for Genesis revisited II, namely - "Eleventh Earl of Mar", "The Musical Box" and "The Chamber of 32 Doors". (It will be a double album, and apart from myself on vocals there will be people like Steven Wilson, Nik Kershaw and John Wetton among others.) I would be a fool to say no, right? So off I went to London two days ago. Spent almost the whole of wednesday in the studio with Steve, his lovely wife Jo and his right hand ROger King - just trying out things and also getting to know each other a bit. The chemestry was there from the word go!
Thing is - this will go on the road in 2013, and Steve wants me to perform the whole show as his singer and frontman, singing old Genesis classics. Did I die and go to heaven? Almost think so! Tour dates in Great Britain and Europe is yet to be confirmed. A little teaser is, that I will join Steve and his band on stage June the 24 (this year) on the Isle of Wight festival to sing "Watcher of the Skies". No batwings and cape, but I will make do with what I have, my voice. http://www.isleofwightfestival.com/line-up.aspx
Roine and Jonas are very busy this year with the long awaited Flower Kings reunion, and who knows how long they will be touring. So this gives me a little time to do something else too. AOM fans - fear not! We will be back in the studio around November/December for AOM4!
Hope this piece of news is as exciting for some of you that it is to me!
Stay tuned - all my love, Nad
Not familar with Nad's vocals - shall trawl Youtube in a bit... Would be very interested to find what Mr Kershaw has been involved in.
