xx John Hackett - New album plus live dates
« Thread started on: Sep 4th, 2017, 10:32am »

Hi all

Duncan from the John Hackett Band here with things you might wish to know! (of course you might not, but that's a risk I'll just have to take..)

The band have been out and playing material from John's first two rock albums for over a year now. From the outset we started adding new material written by the band, and now have a full band album called "We Are Not Alone" coming out at the end of September on Esoteric/ Cherry Red Records. It features a full length studio disc plus a second disc recorded live at the Classic Rock Society in 2016 (see here).

Steve guests on a tune that talks about when the Hackett family emigrated to Canada for all of four months in 1957. The whole album reflects each members influences and heritage, pulling in a number of directions, as you'd hope any progressive album might.

We're also embarking on a number of live dates through this coming Harvest time and beyond:
9th Sept - Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells
16th Sept - Seven, Leeds
14th Oct - AATMA, Manchester
28th Oct - The Cluny 2, Newcastle
11th Nov - Bodega, Nottingham

Additional dates are coming in the new year.

We'd love to see you!

Additional information can be found on our social media outlets, including various curious histories about the locations we're playing..
