01) Narnia
02) A Tower Struck Down
03) Shadow of The Hierophant
04) Every Day
05) Spectral Mornings

I find this tough, although I only own three regular studio releases from Mr. Hackett.

What are your choices?

This is really tough, because the songs are so varied. If you really push me, the first five songs that come to mind are Every Day, Spectral Mornings, The Steppes, Dreaming with Open Eyes and Hoping Love Will Last.

This is going to take SOME perusing of my collection grin But I feel sure Twice around the sun, and Fundamentals of brainwashing/Howl (it's one track, check the sleeve notes!) will be there.

I may have to do a top 10!

Ok, in no order, other than chronological:

Shadow of the Hierophant
Icarus Ascending
Tigermoth
Tombstone Roller
The Golden Age of Steam
Twice Around The Sun
In Memoriam
Down Street
To a Close
The Fundamentals of Brainwashing/Howl

Honourable menchs:

Hoping Love Will Last
Every Day
Walking Away From Rainbows
Sierra Quemada
Big Dallas Sky
Riding the Colossus
Brand New
This world
Rebecca
Serpentine song
Loch Lomond

Is that close enough to 5 for you? grin

Top four would probably be

Spectral Mornings
Every Day
Sierra Quemada
Twice Around the Sun

and fifth would be one of

Ace of Wands
Shadow of the Hierophant
Star of Sirius
Icarus Ascending
Please Don't Touch
Jacuzzi
The Steppes
Overnight Sleeper
Always Somewhere Else
Kim
Second Chance
Walking Away from Rainbows
Man Overboard
In Memoriam
Wind, Sand and Stars
This World
Blue Child
The Fundamentals of Brainwashing
Sleepers
She Said Maybe
Wolflight

but I can't decide which at the moment ..

TWICE AROUND THE SUN
SPECTRAL MORNINGS
JACUZZI
SHADOW OF THE HIEROPHANT
ICARUS ASCENDING

I SURE DO LIKE HIS INSTRUMENTAL WORK, SHADOW .... , ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S PLAYED LIVE AND ICARUS ASCENDING IS A BEAUTIFUL AND HEARTFELT LOVE SONG. smiley
