Hi there

Was lucky enough to spend some time with Steve and his good lady Jo last night and here's the latest from the horse's mouth so to speak...

A live album has been recorded at the recent Japanese gig, tentatively to be called "Live In Japan" this will be a Japan only release at present and also features a couple of studio tracks.

Steve also has contributed to several more projects by other musicians including stuff for Djabe's new album.

Steve's new studio album is hopefully on track for an autumn release and a UK tour should follow next spring although no details of where and what kind of show it will be are known yet for obvious reasons.

thanks Alan for the news.

Do you know if there is a chance that the last few genesis tracks he played lately will see the light sometimes ?

I'm talking especially about 'the knife' that is one of my favorite, but also squonk, lilywhite lilith and cuckoo cocoon.

thanks

Hi there

Not sure about those to be honest but they may be part of the Japanese album I mentioned.

I wonder if next years tour will be another 'New album+Genesis' type affair - I'd put money on it grin

Thanks Alan - I see Steve has a date in March 2017 with the Buffalo Philharmonic next year - Genesis classics....

More North American dates to come around the Cruise. Curious to see if the Buffalo date his the only one with Genesis material, or if the tour is Steve solo with full electric band?

Interesting times!

More from the album recordings - sounding like PDT meets Metamorpheus meets Darktown - great stuff!

No surprise, looks like the Genesis thing will carry on and on, it gets more bums on seats methinks.

I wonder why Steve never brings his tour to the southern or southwestern United States? It would be nice to see him in Texas, for example.

More melodic and dramatic sounding music snippets in this latest preview of recording sessions from those people at Crooked Hand...
