Some kind soul has put this full show up. It sounds like he really put on a better vocal performance in Cologne after his fall.

Sounds more like Phil. Even his timing seems better, in the early shows I though he was occasionally singing a little behind the beat for some reason. Sounds like he found a bit of confidence.

Seems something wasn't right on night 3, Royal Albert Hall. Really hope he's sorted himself out and it's uphill from here. This performance is a good sign.

Maybe the bang on the head did him good! Hopefully soon he can get up and wander around a little.

Yes I totally agree with you!
This show sounds much better than 3rd RAH show. And you nailed it, he sounded like he was behind a bit at my show. Much better this time around.

I agree too. I wasn't at the shows, and have only seen certain sections on youtube. But in his first few shows, there were parts where he was behind tempo, a couple spots where he was off pitch, and several notes he just completely missed. I personally tend to be a bit more critical when it comes to vocals, as I am a choir director, but coupled with his inability to even stand-I wondered "why is he putting himself thru this!?"

But now seeing this Cologne performance...THIS is the Phil Collins I remember! (apart from the no drumming, and sitting the whole time which is of course understandable, given his foot situation.) I can only imagine him sounding even better as time passes-perhaps even more on a possible US leg!!

Very nice of that person to post this show up on YouTube for us all, just to see that Phil actually does still have it!!

I have to say, that's one of the most beautiful renditions of Against All Odds I've ever heard Phil perform. It wasn't just that his vocals were spot on, there was just such an emotional weight to it. This really is THE Phil Collins, in full form.

Nick is amazing and at times i think its actually the young phil cos he does look like him lol. Phil Collins will always be in my heart!

Who ever recorded this thanks a billion im in the usa so i couldn't be their that was a great show.

The following night is up now. So kind of the person filming!
https://youtu.be/Q1CNN_bKBMw

He really is starting to hit his stride.
There is a vast improvement in the vocals.
He seems to be going for the high notes with a bit more commitment.
And his pitch and keeping time have really improved. Sounds like the old Phil.

The humour is there and he's starting to relax into his performance. Really lovely to see day by day. Isn't technology amazing?

I was starting to think returning was a bad idea, it's great to see and hear he's stepping up. Would not be surprised if he is on his feet a little in the near future.

His vocals have improved a lot in such a short space of time. I was beginning to worry that he wouldn't make it to the end of this tour, but he really seems to be on the rebound now. I'm happy for him.

Yes great to watch these shows from Cologne. He seems back on the form he was in the Liverpool show which I saw. On that night he sung really well and seemed to be having a great time. He was very emotional at the end at Liverpool and seemed very moved by the amazing audience reaction. I have no doubt he can continue to do shows when and if he wants to in the future. Maybe like this with small mini-tours of 10-15 shows at a time. He still has so much to offer and it is lovely seeing positive reviews with the Guardian's one being particularly positive.

WOW.

Phil Collins is back in action, ladies and gentleman!!

At this point IMO he now sounds almost as good as he did on his FFF Tour! This was so much improved from even his last Cologne show, (not to mention his first few dates) I almost even forgot at times that he was sitting the whole time!

The other huge improvement is Nic Collins. He's quickly turning into a startling good drummer. There are points when I'm hearing some of the fills and I'm thinking "My god, that sounds like Phil!"

This tour could have been the worst disaster, but instead it's Phil's rebirth. There are such moments of joy and poignancy here that it takes my breath away.

Phil's vocals are definitely sounding stronger and more assured. And Nic is sounding great.

Does anyone know or have heard if this foot drop issue for him is permanent or not?

I hope he's able to stand and move around on stage better in the future as I think this will energize him even more!
