I'm listening to Tim Rice standing in for a poorly Brian Matthew on Sounds Of The Sixties on the I-player; the up to the news instrumental 'Percolator' by Billy & The Checkmates sounded familiar as Hot Butter did an electronic version as their follow up to 'Popcorn'!
He knows his stuff and seems fairly au fait with Phil 'the Collector' Swern's choices, but his delivery (as with Phil Manzanera when he hosted a show for Planet Rock) reminds me of Mr. Fairbrother in 'Hi-De-Hi'!
