One of the few '80s pop acts I actually did like. Their first two albums are full of good songs, though they were always better at ballads than rockier songs imo. I used to quite like Carol Decker too. (I still have my old T'Pau T-shirt with the cover of Bridge Of Spies on it!)
Carol = yummy mummy and with a shock of red hair too

Now playing something I haven't listened to for many a year:
The Cult - Love
One of my two favourite Cult albums, the other being Sonic Temple.
I have the original cd which has two excellent bonus tracks on it; Little Face and Judith. In fact, they are two of the best songs on the album imo, though there are other gems, such as Love, Big Neon Glitter, Black Angel and The Phoenix.
Apparently the remastered version lacks the two bonus tracks, so there's not much point in me buying it.

I saw The Edgar Winter Group in the mid 1970s for the Shock Treatment album tour. What an incredible gig that was.
Lineup - Edgar Winter Dan Hartman (RIP) Rick Derringer Chuck Ruff
Rick was wearing a silver spacesuit with his guitar built into the suit. The guitar was a clear acrylic Gibson SG. Those were the days. Everything was over-the-top

Dan Hartman of "Instant Replay" fame?

Now playing:
T'Pau - Rage
Some of my favourite T'Pau songs are on this album. In fact, the first seven songs are almost perfect pop to my ears. Track four especially, Between The Lines, is an eternal favourite of mine. A great song with great hooks; there is a note Carol Decker hits towards the end, very high, that still sends shivers down my spine now. Brilliant. The remainder of the album is more standard pop/rock fare, though still not bad.
