Many of the artists we've enjoyed throughout our lives were influenced by the Everly Brothers. Great early pop music with wonderful vocal harmonies. Very sad to see him go.

Indeed. You can certainly hear their influence in the vocals of some Justin Hayward/John Lodge harmonies inn Blue Jays and later Moodies stuff. We've got a Johhny Cash Christmas special with the brothers AND their father, a talented family. RIP to a pioneer.

Simon and Garfunkel, as well as Paul McCartney, have talked about the Everly's influence on their music and vocals stylings. Paul even wrote a song that included them in the lyrics called "Let 'Em In" and Simon and Garfunkel included the Everly's song "Bye Bye Love" on their Bridge Over Troubled Water album (love that album by the way). And The Everly's were S and G's opening act on their 2003 tour.

"All I have to do is Dream" is my favorite song from the EB. Great vocal harmonies. Great tune. So sad to see these guys go. They brought us so much joy... and still do, actually...

RIP Phil Everly... Thanks for the music.

Paul also wrote a great song for them "On the Wings of a Nightingale" that appeared on their reunion album in the early 80s.

Sad to hear of Phil's passing.
