The current 10cc line-up, led by Graham Gouldman are really great live, hoping to see them again this year after the sensational gig at Kings Theatre, Southsea last year. They play all the hits (wonderfully) and some excellent album tracks (a twelve minute reading of 'Feel the Benefit' was a real standout). Mick Wilson's vocals are incredible. Check out their 2007 live DVD 'Clever Clogs' or, better still, get along to the tour later this year. Recommended!

Steve,
Thanks very much for highlighting!
I'm not on the Robin's email list (I should get round to it as they have some good stuff on, but with it being 130 miles from home it's a long round trip!).
But I saw 10cc in High Wycombe last March and really enjoyed it, so my ticket was booked a few minutes ago.....hope the boss is amenable to me requesting the afternoon off!

I meant to include 10cc in my list of favourite artists that I pm'd you Helen.
I saw them at The Stables last year and loved it! They were my first proper favourite band when I was 12/13
I just wish the original line-up would get together for one last tour..............

That may be down to Eric Stewart. He wasn't too well a year or two ago. I also read that he once said '10cc is dead for me.' That would be a shame. As you may know, Kevin Godley appeared on stage with the current line-up a few years ago - his performance is captured on the dvd Clever Clogs - and this year I believe Lol Creme did too, though he might be too busy with his current band/venture - The Producers. The Original Line-up would be a great title for an album too, following on from The Original Soundtrack!

Did you see Lol Creme on the Vintage Review Show(Vintage TV)? He was on with Trevor Horn to promote the Producers album.

Wouldn't leave it too long Les....I booked a ticket as soon as I saw Steve's original post over two weeks ago, and when it came in the post my ticket was numbered 400!
Looks like they're still available on the website though....

Maybe they're starting at the other end!
I remember someone getting some tickets for someone or other last minute and having something like numbers 1-5. Someone else had got theirs a while before and got numbers a hundred and something!
(Sorry for all the 'some' s in that reply, btw!)

I am probably going against the grain here and I am a huge fan of 10cc - both the original line up and the Stewart and Gouldman era. However, I think £27 is a tad expensive to see only 1 of the original band members. It is like going to see ELO2 because Bev Bevan was a member of the original ELO but no Lynne, Tandy or Kaminsky so is it really ELO or is it really 10cc?
Just my own view peeps and not detracting from what is likely to be a nice show but it has to have at least one other member of the band to constitute a classic band. One of the reasons, as a massive BJH fan I will not go and see John Lees on his own now that Woolly and Mel have departed this earth and Les is doing his own thing under the BJH mantle.

Well from the original 4 man line up it is only 2.5cc. But Rick Fenn has been with the band since the departure of Godley and Creme, as has drummer Paul Burgess who had toured with the band since the early days.
So it's probably 3.5 or 4cc...
And I thought Mick Wilson on vocals, guitar and keyboards was excellent when I saw them in High Wycombe in March 2011, the only quibble I had was that I didn't like his interpretation of 'I'm not in love' - the original vocals always seemed to have a sort of wistful quality to me.
But then the original version is such a classic I wouldn't be surprised if he had decided to give it a slightly different treatment rather than invite unfavourable comparisons with the original.
