Verrrrry interesting. Not heard of this one. Well, if the Famous Five can get together to write a book (as long as it's not ghost-written, or just re-hashed rock-press quotes), why not an album? A good omen, perhaps?

Is this going to be like the Beatles' 'Anthology' book, with a proper documentary to come (not a '7 Ages Of Things Saleable To American TV' affair, one where all the main guys contributed)?

I'll get it when it comes out. Hopefully from a Dutch online store, they're much faster when it comes to delivering stuff to here.

Got the email as well. I haven't ordered it online yet as it's an expensive time for me right now with all the Encore CDs, Emmylou Harris' Songbird boxed set, Genesis own second SACD boxed set and now this.

Camino said David Baddiel was doing the audiobook version - Baddiel nominated Blood On The Rooftops as one of his favourite tracks on 6 Music's 'My Life In CD' a few years ago.

Hello, everyone. I'm new to the forum. I have the Armando Gallo books, From One Fan to Another, and I Know What I Like.

Is this book essential, or can I pass it by? I missed this when it came out because my interests lay elsewhere at the time. Now it seems the prices are rather high.

Feedback would be appreciated!

Just went ahead and ordered a copy, 24 dollar paperback version listed as having "minor wear" to the cover. We'll see how it looks!

I paid $126 for this hard back a few weeks ago. Lol.

My copy looks okay. Minor fraying on the edges, a few scratches and a slightly creased spine. I'm not complaining at less than list price, though. The pages are crisp and tight.

I found it essential because I found out a great deal about the band I didn't know, far more than Sum of the Parts was able to convey. Interviews with people like Ray, Daryl, Chester, management, road crew and wonderful photos.

Just bought the book via amazon in very good condition for £5 plus £2.80 postage.

Has anyone found a copy cheaper than that?

I have read it,but can't find my copy - my brother may have 'borrowed' it!

I think I saw that copy and passed it up because it sounded too good to be true. Let us know if the book is in good condition.

Well the book has just arrived.
It's in absolutely pristine condition - doesn't even look like it's been read.

I think I got a bargain! smiley

Lucky dog. I may need to shell out for a "like new" hardback version. I'm really enjoying the book so far.

I just ordered a hardback copy from the UK for $13.29 USD. It says "very good." We shall see.

So, my 13 dollar hardback finally arrived from the UK a couple of days ago, with no padding, and no packaging at all really--just inserted into a plastic bag, with no box or anything. And miraculously it was in almost perfect condition. I'm quite pleased.

So I now have the hardback and the paperback, and by a turn of events I also have the Virgin and Atlantic editions of the Archive 1 box set. So I have duplicates sitting on my shelf and I can't seem to make the decision to get rid of anything. Is that silly? Does anyone else have multiple copies of things?

I have all four Abacab covers on vinyl and two Hello, I Must be Going! records (one has a blue label and the other is black). It's all the same music though.

I don't feel so odd now. tongue

I'd love to meet Ant (or anyone). That's awesome.

The Atlantic and Virgin Archive 1 sets are slightly different. The Atlantic set has a darker cover, and was printed with more blue and silver in the photos. The Virgin set has more brown and tan.

I prefer the Atlantic but I'm keeping both because the Virgin book has tighter binding.
Re: Genesis: Chapter & Verse

I ended up selling my previous copies of Archive 1 because I found a mint copy.

I'm still slowly making my way through Chapter and Verse. I'm really enjoying it, but savoring it I guess, since there is not an infinite amount of material about Genesis available.

Also sold my paperback copy of Chapter and Verse.
