The Small Print, Falling Away With You and Blackout should've been left off Absolution and replaced with Fury and Eternally Missed. The album would then have been my favourite Muse album. smiley

But I like those three! embarassed I've never heard "Eternally Missed" (I will make sure to hear it) and as for "Fury" (which is a bonus track for the album) I find it tediously overblown to be honest. No offence. undecided

What do you find wrong with "The Small Print"? Is it the song's tempo and aggression?

When I first heard "A Curious Feeling" I thought it said:

In ACF I also thought 'where would be the fun?' was 'We won't beat the bomb'.

This was long before I went to a CND stall in Hebden Bridge where they had badges with 'Clouseau fans against the BEAUMBE'!

Pedant! rolleyes wink

This thread did get moved to FOTLR in its early days if I remember rightly! Something went a bit wrong though, maybe when the forum went down many years ago, and it ended up back on this board.

Anyway, some of the other bands' misheard lyrics are hilarious so let's see if anyone's got any more funny ones. Talking of which, did anyone see Peter Kay's stand up routine a few weeks ago re misheard lyrics? It was absolutely hilarious!

Keeping things in Genesis-land, have there been any cases where you found out you were mishearing lyrics, but liked the misheard version a lot better? Here's one from me...

In "The Musical Box," the actual line is:
"And I want, and I feel, and I know, and I touch her warmth"

I originally heard it (and I know I'm not alone in this) as:
"...I touch... THE WALL!"

I thought that was a great line because it gave a nicely ironic sense of "her" not being there when he wanted her. (It was all the more effective for coming at a moment when the music suddenly went from quiet to fierce.) So I have to say I was a little disappointed when I found out what the correct words were!
