xx U2 Joshua Tree 2017 Tour
« Thread started on: Jan 17th, 2017, 1:10pm »

Just picked up tickets for Toronto on June 23rd. It will be a stadium show at the Skydome, so it will be mainly watching the Jumbotron and through binoculars.

The Joshua Tree isn't my favourite album of theirs. I prefer War and The Unforgettable Fire. Nonetheless, I still like much of the album and I was impressed by their last tour - it was much better than I expected, particularly the visuals and Bono's voice.

Anyone else thinking of seeing them?

I'm in.

Picked up a decent ticket during the presale. Initially, I was on the fence about going, mainly because of the venue and prices. So I decided that I was only going to attend if I could find a seat in either one of a couple of areas. Ended up with an aisle seat near the end of the first baseline stands.

U2 is probably my favorite band that is currently active, so it was hard to resist.

I actually had a shot of picking up a "Hot Zone" ticket but balked at the price, and I really wasn't interested in battling for space in the GA section.

I thought buying a ticket was a fairly easy process this time, though lots of people were having issues. Apparently the Toronto show is already sold out, that is, through TM.

I also considered buying the stands near the baseline, but figured that they were still pretty far away from the stage and I might as well go for cheaper seats. I did not consider the GA tickets because Carmen is not keen on jostling in a crowd on her feet for hours - plus she is shorter, so inevitably she can't see much in GA arrangements.
