Just home from the Oslo show, which was absolutely brilliant. John Wetton was in amazingly good voice; he doesn't seem to have lost any of his power or range since the eighties. He's a very good musician too; my bass playing friend next to me was completely fascinated throughout the show.

Eddie Jobson was a lot of fun to watch, and an excellent musician. I have to check out his solo records - I mean, what did he do after UK broke up?

The band was very tight. More or less only UK songs, apart from one Bruford cover (I think), and a couple of solo spots. I could have done without the overlong drum solo - but that's about my only complaint.

And the new boys did well, too. A show well worth seeing - and a shame it's their last tour.

Really enjoyed last nights show, especially as I thought my chance to see them had gone after not being able to get to London last time. I agree with Knut, I thought John Wetton did really well on vocals. Loved Eddie's violin playing (and the, to me anyway, slightly mad professor look - 3/4 black raincoat etc) and also good work from Alex Machacek and Virgil Donati. Took me 38 years to see them but I did it in the end! Standout for me 'Nevermore' real goose bumps for that one!

Also saw Greg Spawton from big big train in the audience, wanted to tell him how much I am looking forward to the gigs in August but he left halfway through the last song.

Really awesome tour. Enjoyed every bit.. as I always do wink
I've seen UK in some form or another 22 times since November 2009 until two days ago smiley

Knut - you should definitely check out Eddie's solo albums.. Zinc is very 80s prog. Theme of Secret is more newage/ambient. He did TOS on the Synclavier alone.
I love both of of these albums. Hopefully Eddie will release a remastered version of at least Zinc sometime soon smiley
