Well, I dunno about 'everyone', I only bought ITKOTCC late last year, and currently don't count 'Heroes' in my collection (although I do love Hunky Dory).

(You did mean 'Heroes' by D Jones aka Bowie and not 'Heroes' by Willie Nelson, didn't you? huh )

I did mean DB's album, and I was saying I was a bit behind since everyone seems to have the Next Day and Crimson King is apparently one of those albums you have to have or else you're not a true fan of music or some hogwash like that.

grin

Confession time:

I never got into Rush, or Pink Floyd. I only got 'into' the Flower Kings and Porcupine Tree very recently.

I struggle with a lot of King Crimson, although I quite like ITCOTCK (apart from Moonchild...).

I don't own FGTR!

shocked

wink

Well, I completely agree about Moonchild. It starts off a really pretty ballard, then I can tolerate the first minute or so of vibes since it actually has a distinct melody, and then the next six minutes is mind-numbing torture. I don't really like Yes (although I have begun to warm to them of late), have one Rush album and no intention of getting any other and have nothing inbetween Abacab and We Can't Dance.

But you must pay for Pink Floyd... wink

Aw, surely not - there’s plenty of it on Youtube & Piratebay if you like it enough to bother cheesy.... which rules me out, I'm afraid

Great album! My favourite of theirs so far. smiley

By the way guys, if you've been wondering why I haven't given an update on my recently purchased albums, it's because I've acquired so much recently that I've lost track of what I bought when, and I don't want to post a list of it all at once because it would look like I've been greedy - which I have been... embarassed wink

The only thing I shall say is: I used all of the iTunes money I received for Christmas on albums by Renaissance, specifically the albums from Prologue up to A Song For All Seasons, plus their live album Live At Carnegie Hall. cool

I bought this as a shrink-wrapped refurbished CD from Poundland - the clue as to what I paid is in the name of the store. wink It's all a bit same-ish to me, but I like the 2 tracks that were UK hit singles, namely Closing Time and Secret Smile. smiley
