With both TV shows. This year, it looks like The Grand Tour is slighly reverting back to their routes of Top Gear but without the Stig.

I like both shows and so glad Chris Evans has left TG...

What are your thought?

In this house we were Top Gear fanatics. We have virtually every season of it. We were disappointed with the Evans led new version, but encouraged when he left. I still feel that it can be a good show if the current presenters are allowed to be more spontaneous.

Grand Tour on the other hand has sadly now become a vehicle (see what I did there) for Clarkson's enormous ego. The other two are now just grinning sycophants. The old show used to be scripted, but now it's so obvious they may as well be reading autocues. I haven't seen the latest episdoe yet but I note that it's actually titled Unscripted. They are obviously taking note of the criticism.

I agree that the second series has shown a slight improvement since they ditched the 'American' and the 'Celebrity Brain Crash' but the new Celebrity Face Off isn't much of an improvement, the Conversation Street segment is too long & they seem to have run out of ideas for the filmed sequences. I still have hopes for it.

Top Gear has much improved since Chris Evans left... Now waiting for the 3rd season in early 2018.... To be honest, I like The Grand Tour.. The 4th episode of GT, pointed out how scripted the other episodes were!....I do love the banter and piss taking, even though this does follow Clarkson's ego!.... Could be worse!!!... wink smiley
