I think the Tories will win, but maybe not by the landslide some are predicting. I'm wondering if angry remainers might use the election to put a bit of a dent in the result. I'm also intrigued to see if there's any kind of Lib Dem resurgence. We lost a string of good constituency MPs in my area, SW London, in 2015. I wouldn't rule out the LDs retrieving some lost ground.

But, ultimately, as I say I'm sure it'll be a Tory win.

I agree that the Conservatives will indeed increase their seats, but not by too much.

Edit: Never mind! laugh

An interesting result! smiley The unlucky Tories will have to form a coalition with the DUP, UKIP is out for the count, the chance of a second Scottish independence referendum is now virtually non-existent, support for Northern Ireland joining the Republic has grown (but is still pretty unlikely to happen) and Labour begins its journey to a likely majority in 2022.

So yeah, bit of a disaster depending on how you look at it but it's a fascinating outcome regardless. smiley And now it's all over, we can sit back and watch this mess unfold. grin

Got to honest, I don't like Theresa May. Very wishy washy person that's been leading our country. I also don't like the Mayor of London knowing that at least 200 terrorists were allowed back into UK after fleeing to Islam to train in combat and warfare situations. He knew about these 200 people before the events happened.... Hopefully this is a wake up call to UK and the Tory party... Personally I would get rid of May and grow from there!...........

They should leave fox hunting where it belongs. Took long enough to get the ban!

I'm quite encouraged by the result (especially in comparison with the early opinion polls!), though the prospect of the DUP having any sort of power in Westminster is terrifying shocked

I see some of Theresa May's advisors have resigned. I wish she would and not put those inflicted under a bus.

Their resignations might save her temporarily but not for long. The Tories have always been ruthless at dispatching their failed leaders. May will be lucky to last a few months....
