angry Trump protests
« Thread started on: Nov 15th, 2016, 4:31pm »

Are these stupid protests just going to keep continuing up to and on (and possibly after) the day Trump is finally inaugurated?

I'm sorry, but these protesters frankly need to grow up and understand that Mr. Trump is the next President of the United States. He won fair and square through the electoral vote system, and these riots and marches, which have involved attacking people, starting fires, smashing up the windows of buildings and cars, other forms of vandalism and blocking traffic on major U.S. city roads and highways, are making the President-elect look like a far nicer person in comparison.

I agree. I oppose Trump, but when people do things like that, they're no better the the Can of Fanta himself.

Exactly! Seems some people can't accept democracy. We've all had to live under leaders we despise.

Perhaps they should move to North Korea and see what real problems are.

Isnt Trump planning on making deals with North Korea and Russia? Kim Jong Un even endorsed Trump. Iran says Trump better keep the deal Obama and Kerry made with them, or else, but Trump's vowed to denounce it or renogotiate. I think we're in for a wild ride. Buckle up... shocked

Except they are blocking major roads. EMS have reported long delays getting people to hospitals and responding to emergency calls. Other reports of broken windows and vandalized cars are also widespread. No need to destroy neighborhoods and beat people just because a candidate of your choice lost.

Donald Trump / 2012

See, Donald Trump does say sensible things sometimes!

Nows his chance to change the system, if he still wants to. But even if he did change it, hed still be president since he was elected fairly according to the terms of the current system. He couldn't apply the change retrospectively even if he wanted to, which seems very unlikely!

The stupidity and ignorance of a few are not condoned. That should not prevent the right to protest.

There are a number of issues one could look at which resulted in the outcome of the election, some which can be seen as legitimate reasons for the sense of discontent amongst Americans. But when one considers that the new administration has since brought into their circle both a white nationalist supporting, alt-right propagandist, and a conspiracy theory propagating islamophobe, don't expect the protests to wind down anytime soon.

It's rhetoric like that which propelled Trump to the White House.

Wrong. It was the total apathy of the American public to get off their collective arses and bother to vote. That and a system where a candidate can capture the most public votes and still lose...

How so? Do you disagree specifically with what I said, or do you have a different interpretation of that reality?

Krissy can you merge these threads so we don't have to repeat ourselves?
