xx Old Idea That I Recently Rediscoverd
« Thread started on: May 13th, 2014, 3:26pm »

I was skimming through a notebook I found that I had in the earlier part of the school year, and found that it contained a small idea that I thought I lost.

The idea was that if I could ever animate anything, I would have an animated Genesis show, with all the band members going through short little adventures, or telling tales from the band history, all while the band members are animated sort of chibi style with a cartoony feel.

I made a short episode list that I'd love to share.
"Phil Collins Stairs"- Phil discovers the infamous drum solo to "In the Air Tonight" through a staircase.

"What Does the Peter Say?" Story of the Foxhead mask.

"Better Homes and Gardens" The story of the run down house/studio that the band used to record "TLLDOB."

"Inspiration Strikes" The story of "The Waiting Room"

"Meet the Band" Team Fortress 2 meets Genesis. Medic=Tony Heavy=Mike Scout=Phil Spy=Peter Engineer=Steve

"The (Other) Reunion" Tony, Peter, and Mike go to their Charterhouse reunion

"Mike's Wild Ride" Mike goes on an epic horseback ride

"Hairspray" The history of hair styles in Genesis

"Steve Can't Enjoy His Sandwhich" Steve can't enjoy his sandwhich.

"Abandon Ship" The band discovers shipping

"International House of Phil" Phil makes his famous pancakes for breakfast.

"Between a Ross and a Hard Place" Mike's story of meeting Diana Ross on an elevator.

"Domino Theory" A demonstration of the domino theory goes horribly wrong.

(I'll post the rest soon!!)

You must do that one!
How about one devoted to Steve's youthful fashion sense while you're at it? wink

I like the potential for a comedy sketch in this one: Tony, Peter and Mike go to the Charterhouse reunion, and none of their peers has ever heard of Genesis and they all look down their noses at "popular music"....

"I say, old chap, Genesis is one of the top selling 30 bands in the history of popular music?!"

"Yes, quite. But did you ever play the Proms? Really, you can't expect us to have heard of you unless your music has been featured at the Proms..."

Or something like that... grin

The list continues:

"Blinded by the Light"
Phil gets blinded by early "Mama" performances.

"Robbery, Assualt and Battery"
A reimagining of the original music video

"And Not a Single Cuss Was Mowed That Day"
Peter's costumes get weirder

"Notice Me, Senpai!"
Daryl really wants Tony to notice him.

"They're Everywhere"
The story behind "Pigeons"

"Tony's New Toy"
The story of "Whodunnit"

"Avengers, Ensamble!"
Avengers + Genesis= Epicness.
Thor=Steve, Iron Man= Phil, Captain America (Britain?)=Peter, Hulk=Mike, Hawkeye=Tony, Nick Fury=Tony Smith

"It's Happening!"
The 2007 Tour

"Town Tune"
The band gets Animal Crossing

"Tony's Gardening Tips"
Tony tries to teach gardening to the band

"4-6-4"
Phil's HO railway set

"(Insert Cliche Western Theme)"
The band in the old west

"I Want My MTV"
The awkward "Sledgehammer" vs "Land Of Confusion" awards.

"Nyan Band"
Pretty self-explantitory...

"Pony Up"
MLP;FiM + Genesis

"Phil's a Banana"
Phil and Steve...well, you'd have to see the original video to understand.

More soon...
