Hi there

According to Esoteric, this one should be released early next year. I for one am really looking forward to hearing this as it is definitely one of Ant's albums that would work really well in that format. Hopefully some of his other larger scale albums such as Slow Dance might get the 5.1 treatment too.

I'm sure I read an interview recently where Anthony mentions he's hoping to include only your love on the new remaster of this album. Let's hope so! In the meantime I'm really looking forward to the box set coming out this month.

Hi there

Yes, it looks as if this elusive track will finally get to see the light of day. It is much better than Silver Song imo.

Hi Alan

yes totally agree is a much better than silver song, nice tho that is. Any idea why it's taken so long for this track to see the light of day? I'm assuming that Phil would have to give the all clear for it to be released!

Hi there

I honestly don't know why it has taken so long as Ihave been campaigning for its release ever since Ant first played it to me many moons ago! I would imagine that clearances would have to be obtained from the other musicians on it and their respective record companies although I can't imagine any of that being a problem. Either way fingers crossed that people get to hear the PROPER version rather than the bootleg one!

Just had an e-mail from Esoteric Records confirming that Only Your Love will be on The Geese and the Ghost re-issue in February 2015! Can't wait…

Hi there

Yes indeed, it is about time that this underrated song got its place in the sun. I think it is better than Silver Song to be honest.

Hi there

Well, Only Your Love is effectively the only (pun intended) track from that period which has not been released so now at last we have it in proper quality and about time too!

Looking forward to hearing how they have managed to do it for 5.1 as there is plenty of scope for this to add considerably to the album.

Oh absolutely, Alan, I think this is one of those albums that is meant to be heard in surround..

Does the remastering differ in any way from the previous brand new remaster?

@ Schottrocker

It will be in Surround sound taking up 6 channels of sound hence the 5.1 rather than the previous remaster of just two channels.

Hi there Geese and Ghost fans

Here is a little clip of my band, the Book of Genesis playing at Charterhouse. We played an Ant track in the presence of the great man himself a couple of years ago. We are playing Charterhouse again and we are hoping to play this or another Ant track then too!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCZW8J8g6EU

www.thebookofgenesis.co.uk (where our gigs page has the link to our 30th May Charterhouse show!) we'd love to see you there. All proceeds going to a local Godalming charity
