Oh I would have loved to have been there. I saw that tour in NYC. The Light Show, The Mirrors, The Lazer and most of all a fantastic set list. I can only imagine what it was like at Knebworth.

I read somewhere that the Kenbworth people have always filmed their shows. I have seen the 76 show with Lynyrd Skynyrd on DVD. I would hope that there is a complete 78 show and someday it sees the light on DVD.

That stage show was so cutting edge with the technology for its day.

It does! In my head I can still see those lasers and lots of purple lights! (which is why I probably love that colour now!) smiley

Didn't know the Knebworth people filmed their shows! Find that man!! grin

This is what I sigh whenever I listen to old Genesis boots. I've been on a huge early Gabriel boot kick ('77-'83) and I'm constantly angry at the fact that I wasn't born in time to see Peter walk through the audience at a show. I mean I can watch all the videos (like Rockpalast '78) I want, but nothing can beat actually being there I'm sure.

So glad that there's at least a partial recording of this out there for people to enjoy.

I wish I'd been there too....

I was about 10 yards left of the stars and stripes. Has anyone got the Brand X album Masques? Great Knebworth crowd picture on the back cover. I'll scan it and post it if anyone is interested.
As for the concert, I was taken as a 15 year old by my elder brother and I can honestly say it changed my life. I can still picture the One For The Vine lasers when I hear the boot.

If only I was born 20 years earlier...

I would have loved to have been there. And Then There Were Three is a fantastic album, and one of my favorite G boots is from that tour.
