I've watched Come Rain or Shine again recently, and that gig at Katowice was truly amazing. Inspirational for the determination of everyone involved to put on a show for the Polish people, from the band to the management, lighting crew, sound crew, and promotors.
If Tony or Mike or Phil had said - 'no I don't want to do this' - it wouldn't have happened.
Despite the storm and the lashing rain, they all absolutely gave of themselves to give the fans their show in Katowice. The footage on CROS is simply amazing, the lightning strikes, the doubt, uncertainty and fear that a gig in such conditions can give everyone, but it's amazing to watch, especially during that filmed segment of Afterglow, and the joy in the fans faces during Carpet Crawlers.
Did anyone go to Katowice, and was the set shortened at all? (as they played Carpet Crawlers I'm suspecting not)
What are your recollections? Was it as bad as it looked? I'd love to hear some stories from fans that were theree.
I'm suspecting Hollywood #1 was just as bad, but it wasn't featured in the film, so as a rain affected gig it's not as well known.
The rain sure followed them around in Europe.

Unfortunately I wasn't there  but my friends were.
They were afraid that the concert would be cancelled because of the storm and the rain, at a certain moment Tony had problems with his keyboards...
My friends told me that the rain poured down so much they were completely soaked but extremely happy - in spite of these difficulties the gig was really amazing and the atmosphere was great   .

I was there and watched this gig live...It was awesome..Their work, team spirit and the confidence they were having were all worth appreciating. Inspite of few circumstances also they manage to perform well..Hats off to their spirit..

I would add to be exact, that the concert in 2007 took place not in Katowice but on the stadium in Chorzów (it is a town near Katowice).
In Katowice Genesis played in 1998 - with Ray Wilson.

Thanks duchess168, I wasn't too familiar with the geography. It's described as Katowice on CROS.

Is there any proshot footage available of the entire songs ,at least Afterglow,Crawlers,which made it to come rain or shine?
