I just wish there was at least some variety in the set lists! I do have to understand it's not the easiest music to rehearse and learn again, and at the the "reunion" stage in 2007 they weren't as adventurous as they could have been, but the same set for two legs??

Although there were a few songs that I would've liked to hear that weren't on the setlist, (Abacab, mainly) I do believe that it was a pretty well rounded setlist. There was just about as much older (70's) material as there was 80's and later material. I thought it was actually pretty good.

The whole Abacab material was scratched from the list, if I remember correctly, if not I gladly stand corrected. I found that odd, personally I'm more than OK with that but I thought they were at least going to include the title track.

I think before the North American tour they mentioned they were thinking of taking 'Abacab' and 'In Too Deep' into the set list. Don't know why they didn't.

Well, In to Deep is from IT and I think that album was quite covered anyway, Abacab was dropped altogether

I would have liked to see something from abacab. Dodo, keep it dark, no reply at all or me and sarah jane. I'm not sure if abacab itself would have worked because they have to lower the key significantly.

The lamb lies down on broadway is one I'd love to hear. Always had the idea that that song worked great at just any concert they did.

And I rather heard slipperman or in that quiet earth as opposed to dukes travles. I found the transition too awkward, and somehow it didn't work for me.

There a few tracks I was hoping for.

Supper's ready being one of them tracks or at Least the last part of Supper's Ready. A complete Cinema Show. I was really hoping for either Many too Many or Blood on a Rooftops. Silver Rainbow or 11th Earl of Mar would had been great live tracks as well. Since it was going to be the last tour. Visions of Angles would had been a great track to pull out from the past. I didn't see Phil having any trouble singing that.

But all in all I thought what they did choose was a good setlist. Surprised they did Ripples. Loved seeing that performed after all these years.

Hi there

I think the only song I really would have loved Genesis to play but they didn't was Blood On The Rooftops and Mr Hackett has taken care of that one for me since then grin

Even though they already had a fair amount of Duke represented, I REALLY wanted to hear Duchess.

I think the complete Cinema Show or Firth of Fifth would have been incredible, though it would have required a little creativity on their part to make it work.

I sure hope this was sarcasm, because they had as much variety in that setlist since the 1980 Duke Tour.

As a "recent" fan of Genesis (I first bought something from them in 1992), I never had the chance to see the band on tour with Phil Collins singing, not to mention Peter Gabriel. I did see those two singers in solo concerts, but that's not the same. So when this Turn it on again Tour arrived, there was no way I would miss it. I couldn't live with on a live memory of Genesis based on the Calling all stations tour !

So I went to the Paris concert, and it was amazing. I was not really surprised by many of the songs in there. I am not that much a fan of live versions over album versions, but the two songs that are really better on stage were present ("Home by the sea+Second home by the sea" & "Domino") so the essential was done, the rest was just a question of taking it as it came. The obvious commercial hits were there ("Mama", "Invisible touch", "I can't dance"), but, and that was pleasant, many older songs were featured (not in their complete version but the show couldn't be five hours long - I think of "Behind the lines", "I know what I like" and "Ripples"). That was a pleasure to hear some of my favorites ("Tonight tonight tonight", "Firth of fifth", "Afterglow").

The show was close to perfection, I wouldn't even think about complaining about missing songs. I just think it is strange that every album from 1973 to 1992 were present (and with several songs for most of them), with only one exception : "Abacab". That album worked very well, the title song is one I immediately associate with the band. The other complete omissions are understandable (the first four albums and "Calling all stations" - I would have found it odd to hear Phil Collins singing something from that album) so no major absence from there ("Supper's ready" would have received a warm welcome). Some famous singles were missing ("Jesus he knows me", "In too deep", "That's all", "Misunderstanding") but I could live without them.

I think it would have been interesting if they had played "The Silent Sun"! I think that's a great pop song, and it would be great to hear Phil sing it! Also, it would have been a nice way to round up the career, by playing a song from their first album. But with regard to the band's opinion of their first album I understand how inamaginable such idea would have been in 2007.
