Just listened to this and had some miscellaneous thoughts...

70s:

"Every Day" ends in an excerpt of what would later become "Jacuzzi."

Does that little excerpt from Carcassi's "Etude in A Minor" appear (credited or otherwise) on any other live release by Steve?

I'm pretty sure the brief snippet of "Blood On The Rooftops" has been included in other quick acoustic medleys, on live releases by Steve, without being listed separately. I don't know why they decided to make it a separate track (all of 18 seconds long) here, but as a result the track listing gives the false impression that the whole song is included.

When Steve says they'll be playing "Clocks" in "9 minutes, 25.9 seconds precisely", it's actually 9 minutes, 53 seconds before they start it. (So... not too bad of an estimate on his part, I guess.)

OK, so Steve gets called back for 3 encores. I can't blame a live release for essentially bragging about that a little. But is it really necessary for such loooooooong stretches of cheering to be included?

90s:

I'm not familiar with most of Steve's live releases because there's just so many. Is the excerpt from "Myopia" here the only case where one of his live albums features something from TILL WE HAVE FACES?

The medley segment credited as "Hackett To Pieces" (by Hackett/Magnus, from HIGHLY STRUNG) is actually "Hackett To Bits" (by Hackett only, from GTR).

For some reason "Cinema Paradiso", by Morricone, is credited to "Morricone/Morricone".

------

All of this is doesn't even get into what's involved in making Steve sound like he's breathed helium, or like multiple Steves, etc. -- all of which I kind of wonder about.

Ref: the Jacuzzi bit in Everyday: he did it like this at the 79 Reading festival too.

The Helium effect is done using a harmonizer, also used on Carry on up the vicarage to raise and lower his vocal pitch.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitch_shift#Pitch_shifter_and_harmonizer

Modern devices do it digitally, but back then, I'd guess it was some sort of AM modulation, as used in radio transmission.

"One wish?"
"Yes, one" said the genie.
"Simple! I'll have the musical talent of Steve Hackett" I replied!

It's there in the bonus material on the 2005 remaster of Spectral Mornings.

Was it you or was it me? Or was it he or she?

NB: despite what my name may suggest, I was not born in 1972 tongue

Ah yes, in the "Acoustic Set" (from the "Clocks" single). Of course!
