Looking at recent set lists, Rise Again may have been dropped along with Anyway which would be a shame huh

Doh. I was looking forward to Anyway, but it might find its way back in.

I'd like Rise Again to be replaced by Twice Around The Sun, from the same album. wink

That's probably my favourite track of any SH album from Darktown on.
I find it to be both haunting and uplifting in a Spectral Mornings kind of way.
I'd be curious to know why Steve has never performed it live - perhaps he just doesn't think as highly of it as I and other fans seem to.

I've seen or heard him refer to it as a throwaway track. See, even Steve can be wrong! grin

Bizarre but then I find musicians are often poor judges of their own work.

Here's some words and pictures from the two fantastic shows I saw last week...

The Oakville show was good, but overall Steve and the band seemed to be a bit on autopilot. My guess is that it was an effect of being at the end of that leg of the tour.

The Buffalo show was definitely an improvement. The Steve and the band were definitely more involved. Generally a good atmosphere all-around.

Hi Alan - Ian here.
I've just joined the forum, some of you may know me from Yesfans if you are members there.

Look forward to seeing you Alan in Glasgow. Also front row!

Best wishes to all Steve Hackett and Genesis fans.

Sorry, I should add that I also have a somewhat selfish reason for joining the forum. I have two spare tickets to see Steve in Liverpool on Sunday May 8. They're not bad tickets, - row E.

I'd like them to go to genuine Steve Hackett fans.

If anyone is interested, please send me a PM.

Apologies for the craven commercialism of this post.

The Australian tour has been announced. August 4 at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney. I will stay tuned for when tickets go on sale.
