Popol Vuh made the music for a couple 70's films from Germany, best known is "Aguirre - the wrath of God".

There is another German/Italian movie, something about witches, with a soundtrack by some Italian prog band. I forgot both the name of the band and of the movie but both were pretty cool.

Oh yea, and Can made the music for "Deadlock", a German Western from 1970. Pretty cool too. There was something with Krautrock bands and movies in the 70's, there's a bunch of real good films with real good music.

I've seen a lot of movies over a time with fantastic music scores, but they were never a prog band but mainly a composer. They sound very progressive in sound.

This song is also mentioned in School Of Rock when Dewey hands out CDs to the kids.

We could as well list up all the various efforts of Genesis members in composing film soundtracks. Just not Genesis as a band or any of the solo members' other bands.
