Indeed, Love Supreme and Blade Of Cain are two most excellent tracks. And you've only heard half of Love Supreme really, there is a second half that they didn't play live on Instant Delivery.
And Driver's Seat is, in some ways, the forgotten epic, imo. Usually, Love Supreme grabs you first. But, to be honest, Driver's Seat is at least as good. You'll love it!
And I guarantee you'll love Starlight Man. And Days Gone By, a lovely little piano piece by Tomas, oh, and Bablyon, another short Tomas piece that is damn catchy, in fact, damn beautiful.
And I haven't even mentioned the title track, Adam & Eve. It's a more powerful track, guitar led, and I love it!
I suggest you get The Flower King next, then Adam & Eve, and then, of course, Flower Power. You'll love them all. And then the live albums............ grin

........then all the solo albums and side-projects.......

Actually, I think I put "Days Gone By" on one of Nikki's TFK taster CDs. I love that.

"Babylon" wouldn't be out of place on Wind and Wuthering dontcha think?

Actually, I think you have a point there, Nov. It would counterbalance 'Wot Gorilla' nicely. cheesy

Artwork for the new TFK compilation:

http://www.insideout.de/catalog/images/presse/FlowerKingsRoadBackHome.jpg

And Roine's comments on it.......

Funny, our American record label boss emailed me and asked if it was some internal sick TFK joke or statement with the "fingerprints" pattern over the photo. I never realized it looked like a fingerprint until then, I just wanted to it look psycedelic or otherworldly .......so the "fingerprint" thing was unintentional but a great "bonus" of course. LOL.

The picture is my choice ,it was a quick last shot outside the hotel in Chicago in oct 2006 before we went to the airport.
I happen to like it and by that time Marcus was definitely touring with us so it is indeed a snapshot of one incarnation of TFK ,at a certain time in our life and positive one I might add.
At the time we put together the compilation Marcus was definitely our drummerboy and I can see no reason why I should have had an old photo with Jaime or Zoltan,or with Michael that seems odd to me (they're all in the booklet anyway).
We'd just finished the USA tour 2006 at Martyrs in Chicago, a great gig with a big and fabulous audience, we were really happy and that feel was something I wanted to capture, I'm sorry if it does not live up to your expectation of a good or pro band picture.

A "workable idea", can be anything really, depending on from where you come, any sterile computergenerated surreal digi art to plain black cover with 2 black letters(!?) or if you're a bit more commercial 2 grey letters ......or a Roger Dean wannabe thing or psycotic faces, or the expected Hipgnosis prog art ........so many choices ........... well, this was mine.

btw,I think Jonas look very, very cool.

NO! Don't do it Nikki! Don't order Adam & Eve! It's complete rubbish, just like all TFK's albums!
Oops, too late, seems she's nipped off down to the post box even as I type this.
(I think she should have ordered The Flower King first though!) grin

Oh Yes!! I have seen that before but thanks for reminding me about it.

I absolutely love that. It works so well with the music. It's beautiful and really emotional for some reason.

How I passionately wish that The Flower Kings could reach millions of people with their fantastic music so that the world would recognise their talent and the beauty of their music.

We can but dream.........

I thought A&E was your fave TFK album Carl?

By the way, my teacher friend has turned down Nikki's Old Trafford Genesis tickets so they are available again. Maybe (just maybe) this is a sign that you should go Carl. They are fantastic seats and I'd have them if I wasn't already busy on the 7th.

What do you think?

Well Nov, maybe you mean my favourite single disc album by them? As I am sure you remember, my fave is Flower Power. But I was just thinking that Nikki should buy The Flower King first, so that she can see how it all started, then A & E, and then, the amazing FP last, but not least. But it doesn't really matter, she is going to be blown away by all of them.
As to the tickets, well, it's not really for me this one. I will wait and hope that one day the five man reunion comes off - and that they play The Royal Court in Liverpool, as in the old days. wink
Thanks for the thought though. Much appreciated. cheesy
