I love the part in "The Silent Masses" where Roine tips his hat to The Beatles with the line "got your world on a string, but your bird can't sing" followed by the guitar riff from "And Your Bird Can Sing." Very cool indeed! cool

I'm eating my words regarding my negative comments upon hearing the sound samples from the album. Now that I've spun it numerous times (both discs), it's definitely their best in years.

Love it all! smiley

Ah! I didn't catch that at first, but I went back and listened and you are absolutely correct. That is really cool! cheesy

There are some really, really great pieces of music on this disc.

OK I am sitting at home in Spain, taking relief from the Saudi desert.
The thing is that Paloma is not so keen on The Flower Kings.....but I have to say this is the best album next to Flower Power.
Tower ONE is a master.......got me thinking of a trip to CAlProg and a meet up with COT Dave, well overdue and something that must be done...The Flower Kings better be headlining of course, wouldn't that be good!
cool

Well, it arrived today! Desolation Rose! However, I'm not going to play it till the weekend! (I can just see the heads shaking in disbelief at this rash statement) The reason is simple - I've just had two hard days in work, working late because of the bonfire period. If I try to listen to it tonight, I won't take it in or appreciate it as much as when I'm wide awake and relaxed. Tomorrow and Friday I'll also be quite busy. Come Saturday, however, I have nothing particular planned, so I'll stick it on itunes and blast it out a good few times! Something to look forward to indeed! cool
