Get the "Tour Kaputt" DVD, and if you've not got the "Meet The Flower Kings" DVD, get that as well. Oh heck, just get them all grin

Well, of course, this is like asking if there is a definitive top 5 Genesis albums list, or any band with an extensive list of good quality albums in their discography.

All I can offer is my top 5 which is:

1) Space Revolver
2) Flower Power
3) Unfold The Future
4) Stardust We Are
5) Paradox Hotel

So, the next 2 albums I would recommend to you would be those at number 1 and 3.

Take your time though - if you've only just bought Flower Power, I would recommend that you immerse yourself in that before buying anything else to soon and feeling swamped with how much great music they produce.

Thanks chaps smiley

When I said definitive,Nov, I meant if all those interested in The Flower Kings had have a "best album" poll and what the result of the poll was but, judging by your own, personal favourites,I've done well with the first 2 albums of theirs I've bought smiley laugh cheesy

As Nov suggests, any top band with an extensive list of top quality albums will find their fans all have different favourite lists according to individual tastes. For the record, here are my current top five TFK albums:

1. Flower Power
2. Unfold The Future
3. Paradox Hotel
4. Adam & Eve
5. The Rainmaker

But this list, apart from the top two, has changed on numerous occasions, and will, undoubtedly, continue to do so. One thing we all agree on though is, it's all wonderful stuff! wink

Been playing Karmakanic's debut album, Entering The Spectra quite a bit lately. I like it even more now than when I got it. I knew that Roine and Zoltan were on it, of course, but I'd totally forgotten that Jaime and Tomas appear on it too!
If only Hasse had put in an appearance, we would have had all the classic TFK members on it.
The title track is still my favourite Karmakanic track. wink

Correct. Stardust is one of my favourite FK albums as well. Church of your heart is a song, even my wife would appreciate.
Another favourite album of mine is Adam And Eve.

For what it's worth, I think that Stardust We Are is one of the band's strongest albums.
Playing it now actually..... smiley

Was this all a storm in a tea-cup NSOV or would you like me to actually send you a sampler CD?

I'm meant to be sending one to young CM so it's easy enough to send you one as well wink

How original does a band have to be for you to like them?

Even Genesis were unoriginal because they at the time they sounded like King Crimson, Family and The Moody Blues.

and Transatlantic is too pretentious.

That really is quite a damning accusation of a massively talented group of men.

To me, they are the absolute opposite of "pretentious" because they put their complete heart and soul into their song-writing and playing.

Pretentious bands pretend to be something they are not whereas Transatlantic are the complete manifestation of what they are able to be.
