Probably!
As stated on the Neal Morse thread, my musical horizons were opened up after listening to Testimony and with a lot of help from people such as yourself on the old message board.

Steady now Nov. The thought of you dressed like Meg Ryan is not something I wish to visualise on an empty stomach. (Or a full one, come to that!) embarassed grin

I was a TFK virgin until yesterday, when I randomly downloaded "The Fox Lies Down" Genesis tribute album onto my iPod. Love their version of Cinema Show and will investigate further offerings.

Here we go again wink

It's about time we had a TFK newbie to guide through the early stages..........

It was great fun initiating Nikki to the wonderful world of TFK 3 or 4 years ago - do you remember Carl?

As I've said many, many times before......I'm happy to send you a TFK selection CD should you so wish Hoggy. Just PM your address and I'll get one in the post to you.....

I can almost hear the barely supressed excitement in Nov's voice, and almost see the glint in his eye as he prepares to indoctrinate another unwary victim in his (not so) secret pleasure/vice! tongue

How many bands are you aware of that have been honoured with a 4-CD tribute compilation of their work performed by over 30 different artists? This is certainly quite a reward for The Flower Kings who have released an amazing body of work that's been recognized worldwide by their contemporaries. Here in the states, TFK couldn't sell out a small venue. What a shame!! huh I'm awestruck by how few people are aware of the existence of this band, and the inability of so many of these folks to seek out original music that hasn't a sameness that all the 'popular' music of today offers. I wholeheartedly recommend those of you who haven't heard "A Flower Full Of Stars" to seek out a copy. It contains 39 songs that influenced bands and music lovers from all around the world.

I want to offer my congratulations to The Flower Kings for everything they've done to advance progressive rock music into the 21st century, and for the courage it took to stay the course.

Superbly put Dave smiley

Wouldn't it be fantastic if, when The Flower Kings finally return (and I think they will), that their legend and status has grown in their absence and they are welcomed by the level of respect and admiration that they truly deserve.

I so hope you will have the chance.

I've seen them 5 or 6 times and it's a thing of wonder watching them re-create their masterpieces live wink

One of the gigs I saw, they played "Devil's Playground" AND "The Truth Will Set You Free" (complete) in the same set. Amazing!!
