I'm going to have a think about who my top five bands are at the moment, then I'm going to put together a 'supergroup' featuring one member from each band. Should be interesting!

Not sure which member of TFK to put in though, as I could really choose any of them! grin

Well, they are certainly my favourite band from the last 15 years so that makes them 'great' in my book wink

Exciting comments from Roine regarding the DVD release and the demand for it. I think we've all had a feeling that the legend of The Flower Kings will grow over time and that they may not even reap the benefits of their genius either during their existance or even during their lifetimes. Of course, this has been a similar story for many musical geniuses over the decades and centuries.

Here's Roine's recent comments..............

"I've watched a raw copy and it is gorgeous!!

It will likely be in shops in Europe but not rest of world - but it can be, and should be, purchased thru Jonas site - Reingold Records Shop (www.reingoldrecords.com) or from my shop (www.flowerkings.se) soon.

According to a phonecall from Jonas yesterday he was floored by the HUGE reaction and the incoming orders - almost put his shop on fire!!

He called me to see if I could open the shop because he couldn't and actually thought the program crashed due to all the incoming orders.

A bit shocking but also good to know that when all is said and done, The Flower Kings seems to be a solid icon and one of the most popular Prog bands - still. The numbers don't lie.

So this gives hope for a possible new studio album.

Roine"

How fantastic is THAT!!!

Great news, but I'm a little surprised at Roine's last comment: 'So this gives hope for a possible new studio album.'
To me, that statement is something of a step back, seeing as, previously, Roine had already hinted he might be starting work on a new album this year. It now sounds like he wasn't sure at all about doing one until he saw how well the dvd was selling. undecided

Still, fingers crossed something comes of it. smiley

I can feel a Flower Kings feast coming up this weekend. It's been quite a while. If the weather's nice, I'll be outside with my ipod, listening to Roine and the boys... cool

I have played Back In The World Of Adventures two times today. And I was suitably impressed one more time, what a tremendous album that is.

And no mistake.

This morning I played "The Sum Of No Evil" for the first time in ages. smiley

I must say it's an excellent album and a thoroughly intriguing listen throughout.
"Love Is The Only Answer" is a stand-out track; an epic in actual fact. It has to be one of my favourite TFK's songs. smiley
