As ashamed as I am to type this, I never knew Roine had that many solo albums before TFK. Or that Tomas Bodin was with him as far back as '89 (if not earlier). Crazy...

Are they worth getting for a Roine/TFK fan such as myself?

Er...yes.

Seriously, all the solo stuff I have of Roine's is great. In other words....

It's time to get your wallet out young man! grin

I listened to both discs of UNFOLD THE FUTURE today, after not hearing them for maybe a year, and it's probably in a tie as the #1 Flower Kings album for me, right up there with FLOWER POWER. Absolutely stunning musicianship and songwriting ability by everyone on board.

What great taste you have Dave! Your two favourites are exactly the same as mine. Flower Power just shades it for me, but the difference between them is minimal, to be honest. Twin peaks of prog would be a good description, methinks. wink

Maybe I'm a bit clueless, but do you go by "Chessman" because your name is Carl? Or is it because you like the game? wink

Car(y)l Chessman sniffs the air and leads the parade,

I used to play the game a lot; represented Merseyside 33 times in fact, but the link with Car(y)l Chessman fits in nicely too, though I hadn't thought about that when I chose my name. smiley

well chessman or Chessman that certainly clears things up rolleyes
I have been listening to Paradox hotel disc 2 again
not hit me with a hit ,not track 2 either ,but this time track 10 is smacking me in the face . This tune is so cool that i can visualize myself and and a few friends sitting around the circle with an array of acoustic instruments jammin on it !.
It seems that a different Flower Kings tune hits me every few days. What a great band ! cool
and thanks for the C c answere grin

That's exactly how TFK hit me too. One minute one song sticks in the mind, then, suddenly, another reaches out. That just about sums up the quality of this amazing band.
At the moment, Paradox Hotel is probably my number 3 album, overtaking Adam & Eve.
But let's face it, it's all good stuff! cool

Paradox Hotel still amazes me...such a strong, strong album...track after excellent track.

As much as I love it...it still comes in 4th for me! Just goes to show you how brilliant they are!

Roine was brilliant with Transatlantic in London last night - a true star.

Carl - did you go to the Manchester gig? If so did you meet up with Nikki, Oz and Gooner?

Cheers

No Nov, I'm having trouble going anywhere at the moment. Glad you enjoyed it though, as I'm sure Nikki, Oz and Gooner did. All the reviews I've read have been nothing short of fantastic! smiley

I would have to say: Space Revolver, Stardust we Are, and Flower Power

...but it's a very close 4-way race!
