Very good. Rockier stuff, as you would expect from Hasse. Worth a listen or three. smiley

Ok, here's one for everyone, especially bassman:

What's your favourite Transatlantic album, and Transatlantic track?

Mine? I'll wait and see what others put first. wink

I like every track of SMPTe ,so that is my " go back to" favorite cd. The jam in the beginning of Suite Charlotte Pike is something I still love to hear often ,but, being a sucker for awesome bass parts ,my favorite track is Evermore [today anyways grin ] I cant stop there, gotta give a honorable mention to On The Prowl and Mystery Train . grin
those are the tunes I use to share TA with TA virgins shocked

Favorite album: The Whirlwind

Favorite song: The Whirlwind

grin Just kidding! It was something I had to try saying at least. Sorry...

It would be hard to pick a favorite for me. I've got to go and listen to their first two albums again to make that decision.

I do like Transatlantic smiley but there just seems to be better music out there in the symphonic prog field and particularly those featuring TFK's members. Whirlwind seems to me to be an album of individuals not a band. Nothing wrong with that of course but it kind of spoils the album a little bit.

Gonna get back to Karmakanic now cheesy

Very interesting, and good, choices.
My choice:

Album - SMPTe

Track - All Of The Above

Bridge Across Forever is probably my least favourite out of the three, but it's still a great album. cool

Shouldn't this be in the transatlantic thread wink

All of the Above is my Favourite , but I love all of them and currently loving Whirlwind more and more everytime I hear it , especially a ma can feel/out of night/rose colured glasses which is about the death of Neal Morses' dad.

I could have put it in the Transatlantic thread, but there is a connection with TFK, so it's fine to include it here, imo.
I see you're another fan of All Of The Above. smiley
Great track indeed.

New Karmakanic album in the works!

Quote:
JONAS REINGOLD / KARMAKANIC: Jonas Reingold is to start writing a new Karmakanic album later this year. To get inspiration for the songs he plans to stay at the Chelsea Hotel on West 23rd Street in New York for several weeks and write some new material. The hotel has been a centre of creative and bohemian activity for many years. Bob Dylan, Arthur C. Clarke, Alan Ginsburg and Gregory Corso all composed new work when in residence, while the hotel was used in the 1960s by Janis Joplin, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and the Grateful Dead.

I was only joking Carl , AOTA is a classic closely followed by Stranger. I expect nothing less than both full versions of these to be played in May or I won't be a happy bunny. grin
