Probably because you don't eat your greens, or your crusts, or your carrots, or some such thing! tongue

(And if you happen to eat all three, then probably because you're too goody goody.) laugh

Regarding the interview, I was rather surprised and shocked to read about how TFK operates.

Of course I always knew that Roine is the driving force and the main visionary behind the band but I never realised that the rest of the guys were essentially hired hands.

I can't help feeling that if (at least) Tomas, Jonas and Hasse had an equal share in the band then the pressure would have been off Roine a bit (financially and artistically) and the band would have been even stronger and not now have an uncertain future.

Of course I love all of the Flower Kings albums but imagine what they could have produced if the other main three members had had more of an input knowing that they would get 25% (or whatever) of the royalties.

I must admit that I'm rather concerned that we'll never see them together as TFK again and that makes me rather sad.

undecided

On the other hand, maybe Roine will come back refreshed and richer from Transatlantic and be ready to get the band together again.

I eat far too much chocolate to be a goody goody where eating is concerned.

I have no doubt that TFK will continue to please it's fans in one form or another. At the very least, Zoltan, Jaime, Roine, Tomas and Jonas will continue to release amazing music, either as solo artists or possibly as a morphed managerie of stellar musicians/composers, as they've done in the past.

Personally, I'd like to see Roine and Jonas team up with Hans Lundin for another Kaipa release.

It's also time for another Tangent album, isn't it; albeit most likely sans Roine and Jonas.

Just read Tomas' interview. Interesting, and maybe a little surprising that the rest of TFK seem to be simply 'hired hands'.
However, I do feel there is still a future for the band. Maybe this would be a good time for Roine to delegate some song writing duties to the other members and see what they come up with.
Maybe they could do another album in the vein of The Rainmaker, more song based, with each song written by a different member.
Anyway, we'll just have to wait and see. undecided

A very imformative interview indeed. I must agree with Carl that there will be new TFK's material. In fact I would say that Transatlantic are the part-time band.
Here's to the next TFK's album, whenever that might be.....meanwhile we have all the wonderful solo albums to listen to which is great smiley Of all these I must say that the latest Karmakanic one is the best by some way cool

Been in Bodin mood lately. Played Cinematograaf a couple of times. A very nice album indeed, gentle and soothing for the most part. smiley

The guy can do no wrong, Carl. For as great an album as Cinematograaf is, I can't understand it not getting better reviews....or any reviews for that matter.

Looking forward to hearing his latest with Eggs And Dogs some day soon.

I've heard there is to be a second Agents Of Mercy album. I wonder if it will feature the same line-up and have the same sound? That was an album that slowly grew on me, though I still can't decide how much I actually like it.

I agree with you, Carl, about not being sure what to think of AOM's first venture. I initially blamed Nad Sylvan's vocals for it being a failed project, but after hearing his work with Unifaun I have to take that back. I just don't think it was a well thought out album, or maybe it was just that this group of artists had not worked together previously and ultimately failed to follow through on good ideas over bad ideas in order to meet a deadline. Who knows?! It's a tad bit underwhelming for my taste.

I just purchased a copy of Eggs and Dogs "You Are" from Tomas Bodin's website. It was only $19.00 total to send it California. Great price! cool

I've heard great things about this release, primarily that Michael Stolt is playing bass and doing lead vocal honours!

Very interesting interview, thanks Nov kiss
Although i was surprised to actually read it in print, i can't say i'm that shocked about the members being Roines 'hired hands'.

As brilliant as TFK are, i did kind of get that feeling about the band to be honest.

I hope we do see some more TFK output and tour .......... Oz hasn't seen them live yet!!! cry wink
