Hi grin

If you don't know what album to buy first, then I would definitely spend 20 (odd) on Meet The Flower Kings DVD. Then you could buy the CD's in release order if you want grin

You can get he whole deal then. A very special dvd indeed.

Seriously, i would say ....... Paradox Hotel ...... cos that was my first grin (sigh, comes over all emotional) coupled with Space Revolver cool

Don't go anywhere near Unfold The Future or Flower Power for a good few months wink (Not without a good shrink and an egg whisk anyway) wink Wonderful albums both, but not early TFK purchases in my book.

Now that Lemmy, there was a good looking chap if ever i saw one, can't think what i ever saw in Hasse laugh laugh laugh laugh

Joking, Hasse is still doing the boat floating for me grin

Off to play some TFK right now! Yes, a stay at the Paradox Hotel is long overdue ............... kiss

Great to see you popping in here every now and again Nikki.

You can add the feminine touch to Heather's TFK journey wink

Have you heard that Jonathan Ross has been arrested for nicking an egg beater from Tescos?

He thought it was a whisk worth taking!

That sounds like a good idea.

A mixture (with pictures grin grin hey Nikki lipsrsealed ) might be the best thing. Although I'll still have the same, what do I buy first challenge when I need more undecided

More thought needed, me thinks.

Just to throw a further spanner in Heather's works, I suggest she buys the 'Instant Delivery' dvd instead. It's a whole TFK concert released after 'Paradox Hotel' came out, and it's brilliant. (Also, I haven't seen it mentioned by anyone on here for a while, and I really can't have that!) wink

Zoltan can mop up the stage floor with Marcus, so I don't watch Instant Delivery anymore. Just one fan's opinion tongue

I'll have to gradually absorb both and then make up my own mind.

More TFK - shame! grin

Zoltan is great, as we all know, but I do think Marcus is better than he's given credit for. If you get to see Instant Delivery Heather, you'll see he's got all the ability in the world, great touch and a good stage presence. Personally, I'd love to see an earlier TFK concert, so I could watch Jaime Salazar too. The original and, for many, still the best drummer. Whatever people's opinions, its a fact that TFK have been lucky in having three top notch drummers in the band. wink

You're absolutely right about Jaime. He's an amazing drummer, and TFK were lucky to have him onboard wink

As a matter of fact, Carl, have you seen The Tangent's "Going Off On One" DVD? Jaime plays drums and Jonas plays bass. It's a must-have if you're into The Tangent. I'd send you a copy, Carl, if I knew you could play it on your DVD player. I suppose if it's listed as 'ALL REGIONS' then it would most likely play.

Maybe I can someday set my prejudices aside and give Marcus another chance. I just remember Roine saying something about Marcus not being into progressive rock music, so I developed an instant dislike for his style of drumming.

Neal Morse did the same thing when I went to see him last year. He pulled together some Nashville studio hacks to play prog for 3 hours. It was nowhere near as good as it would have been had he brought in the right people for his style of playing.
