I listened to this on the way to work today.

Simply stunning.

I listened to the rest of CD2 of UTF on the way home. It really is an extraordinarily brilliant album.

I really hate youtube. Especially as I can't watch it!
One of these days, I'm going to have both a new pc and go on broadband. Then I'll be able to see all the great videos that others take for granted. angry

I wonder how the new Transatlantic material is shaping up? Roine did hint it was coming on in leaps and bounds. That's the trouble with creative people, they just can't help being, well, creative! grin

It's brilliant! There's tons of fab prog stuff on there especially some very rare Genesis stuff.

In fact almost any video clip you fancy watching is on there.

You've been on about this for the past 4 or 5 years wink

NO Broadband! shocked

How do you cope?

I can't cope with this place when I'm staying at my parents' place. Dial up connection is just too slow.

Go for it Carl, then you'll be able to enjoy all the lovely music videos.

Thanks for the link Nov grin

I've come to the logical conclusion, based on what I know, that Carl is your Dad.

Good advice.

Scrub all those CDs that you want off your list and buy a new PC with BROADBAND wink

Internet by dial up must be a real pain! shocked
Not too bothered about You Tube though, the quality is mainly crap, but some decent stuff nonetheless I suppose.

Go get it Carl smiley

Really, really.....no wait....REALLY surprised that Nov and Dave put "Sum of No Evil" and "Adam and Eve" way down their lists of favourite albums.

I find them quite superb.

However, you won't find me writing a list cos they're all too close to call except "Flower Power" which is the best by a small street IMO wink

shocked I don't think so! Although now I come to think of it, my Dad would probably appreciate TFK, although he's really more of a Basie man.

Off to watch your link. Checked the 5th is a Saturday, so I'll see you at The Grey Horse........if not before. grin

Excellent!!

Hopefully there'll be a good turn-out from the forum at this our Christmas gig. Many of the regular guys here have seen us at The Grey Horse in the past and it'd be great if they all turned up on the same night. Even Piers has turned up a couple of times to pick up some keyboard tips wink grin

Nigel Noodlehead will be there as well (hopefully wink)

I always find it amazing how quickly people become used to something, and take it for granted. Like broadband!
When the internet was new, and dial up was the standard way of connecting, everyone was amazed and happy. Then, along came broadband, and people suddenly found they had no patience for anything that was less than instantaneous. I wonder, in 4 or 5 years time, how many people will look back and say: 'Broadband? How old fashioned and slow!'

Of course, the ultimate luxury will be something that was previewed on Tomorrow's World, many, many years ago. The holographic concert. A bit like a video, or dvd, you put your disc in the special machine and the concert takes place around you, as if you were in the middle of it. All the musicians are three dimensional and totally real in appearance. Now that would be something! Imagine TFK in 3D, performing for you in the middle of your living room, while you walk around amongst them. Brilliant! cheesy
