Hi Rosie,
Glad your night went swimmingly well!
Sorry I couldn't make it; what with money shortages and April being the busiest time of the year in work for me it was pretty much impossible. But one day I hope to meet a few people on here. You all seem a quite wonderful and friendly (and sincere) bunch!

As for your comment about this section getting too expensive, I know what you mean!
Oh for the days of the '80s again, when there wasn't much going on music wise that I was interested in. Life was much simpler then! wink

Hey hon - fully understand about the gig - and WE (I include you in this) are all very wonderful people!!

Know what you mean about 80's music - had a respectable sort of bank balance back then !!! rolleyes laugh

Congratulations on buying two excellent albums, Alibrat!

Retropolis was, for a little while, my least favourite FK album - but then it hit me suddenly! Great album, and it has the 'classic' tracks 'There Is More To This World', 'The Judas Kiss' and the great instrumental, 'Flora Majora'. But the whole album is wonderful!

Paradox Hotel is another stunner! Love it all from start to finish. Highlights for me would be; 'Monsters And Men', 'End On A High Note', 'Minor Giant Steps', 'Touch My Heaven', 'What If God Is Alone' - in fact, all of it! wink

You've done well and, by coincidence, you've bought the two albums that start off the same way, with the sound of ping pong balls! Did you have a premonition?
Let's know what you think after you've digested them, which could take some time. Don't overwhelm yourself, play one till you know it fairly well, then move on to another.
Enjoy!!

Yeah! What Carl said!!! smiley
Love Retropolis! Faves are The Rhythm Of The Sea and the title track, well this week anyway!
Paradox Hotel! Well the boys here will confirm my great passion for Hasse! grin So my fave from the start was Monsters and Men with his very gorgeous vocals ........ don't get me started! This track hit the spot for me way before i had the CD though, from one of Novs compilations, knocked me for six and it's still my fave, although Life Will Kill You runs it close! But hey it's all brilliant anyway! Enjoy! smiley

Nikki! You have a passion for Hasse? Well, bugger me! I didn't know that! You should have made it more obvious!

Yes, I see that leek. I thought it was mine, what with the terror I was feeling at the time.
Oh! You mean the famous Welsh vegetable! Sorry, thought you were telling me off for my fear-induced incontinence!
Silly me! wink

Watched Instant Delivery again today. Can't decide what my favourite performance is yet. It's all splendid stuff! (Though I am partial to 'The Truth Will Set You Free', 'What If God Is Alone' and 'Touch My Heaven'. Oh, and 'I Am The Sun'. undecided

One thing about it though. Does anyone else agree with me that there seems to be the odd person or two in the audience imbued with a distinct lack of enthusiasm?
Most of them are fine, but a small minority seem determined not to a) smile, b) clap, c) have a good time whatsoever.
Maybe it was nerves, what with the cameras being on them. Who knows? rolleyes

I don't recall anyone reviewing "Meet The FK's"

I like it a lot, although I have to say that it's the only dvd I have of the band. lipsrsealed

We only got a dvd player this Xmas just gone. My first, and to date only, dvd, is 'Instant Delivery'.
My second purchase will be 'Meet The Flower Kings'.
I have the double album, and it's stunning.
I take it you recommend the dvd then, Demo man?

Well it was either that or a bunch of daffodils, you should have come out from underneath the table when you were told! wink

All of it is brill though! But Touch My Heaven is particularly wonderful. smiley

Thats funny cos i thought the same thing! The women in the audience don't seem too chuffed at times! Maybe they're all just miserable other halves who just got dragged along for the evening! Whatever, but i know what you mean! I prefer to think they were all stunned by the superb music from our heroes! wink grin

Anyway ....... i'm off to bed with the TFK lads, not too loud or i'll wake the small people! Had a God awful day at work, i'm sure folk crash more cars and have more horrible stuff happening to them on Sundays! wink

What? All of them? You must have a King size. (Bed dear!)
Sorry to hear you had a bad day. I can imagine it must be pandemonium at times, what with all the blood, the crying, the screaming, the swearing, the broken limbs, the lacerations, the deep wounds, the vomiting - and then, on top of it all, there's the patients!
Seriously, I admire you no end. I could never work in a hospital. Too many unpalatable sights to be seen.
shocked
Bed soon for me too. smiley
