Perhaps TFK could do a small tour of people's homes.
I remember seeing some pictures of them performing in what looked like someone's living room!
They don't seem to mind too much how big an audience they've got, as long as they can perform. Quality over quantity any day!
How refreshing! grin

...I see no-one is offering to give up their living rooms so the band can perform - really! Such tightfistedness.
I would do it, but our living room is probably too small to house even a one-man performance by Jonas, let alone the whole band.
I did think Nov, however, whose whole house, it is rumoured, approaches palatial dimensions in its size, would jump at the chance of making tea and toast for Roine and the boys - as long as Hasse and Tomas do the washing up, of course. rolleyes

After repeated listenings of AGENTS OF MERCY's "Fading Ghosts of Twilight," I must say that there are some fantastic moments on this album.

The vocals by Nad Sylvan take a bit of getting used to, but I hear a lot of soul in the man's voice. I would say I almost love his voice now. His voice has been described as a mix of Phil Collins, David Bowie, Cat Stevens, John Lennon and Peter Gabriel

Plus you've got Jonas Reingold on bass and three fantastic guest drummers, Jimmy Keegan, Zoltan Csorsz and Pat Mastelotto.

If you've not heard this album, or have been turned off by the vocals, please do yourself a favour and give it repeated listenings. It is well worth your time, believe me.

Too in awe? You? You who have met and talked with the band? You who have probably hosted many a Friday evening card school with them?
Never, I don't believe it!
You'll be telling me next you would hide behind the sofa while they were performing, just peeping out now and again to make sure it wasn't a dream.
Pull yourself together man! Get those invites out! cheesy

Played Stardust We Are today. smiley
I'd forgotten just what a brilliant album it is. It's reminded me why I love this band, and rate them head and shoulders above most others.

Splendid stuff indeed! wink

Sorry 'bassman' but it's been so long since we had anyone new in this thread that I got a bit excited.

I feel like the cars in "Cars" when someone new approaches their forgotten town grin

Anyway....enough of that!

Welcome to the forum and this thread. What's your TFK story?

Speaking of the Cars movie, the route 66 they speak of in the movie, where Radiator Springs is located, that stretch of road runs about 5 miles from where I live. Route 66 is now called Foothill Blvd. Many of the old motels and buildings are still standing from when route 66 was the main road traveled by folks across the U.S.

The Wigwam Motel, which was spoofed in the movie, is still in business and is very popular. All the rooms at the motel are shaped like Indian wigwams. Lots of nostalgia and memories of times gone by are tied to that road. Once the freeway was put in, route 66 became just another road. It does still run all the way west to the ocean in Santa Monica, California. The Cars movie is a favorite of mine because it hits so close to home.

I love that film and always thought Disney had made that hotel up!

Great to know that it really exists. Thanks smiley
