It is good but "as good as the original"? Personally, nothing will surpass the original IMO.

Been playing quite a lot of Flower Kings related material lately. All three Karmakanic albums have been getting more than their fair share of spins, and, since Tomas Bodin got mentioned on here the other day, I've been playing both Sonic Boulevard and An Ordinary Night In My Ordinary Life a few times. At this moment in time, I would actually say AONIMOL is my favourite Bodin album. It's a close thing with SB though.

Anyone heard the AGENTS OF MERCY album yet?

From the TFK site:

On March 1st 2009 Foxtrot Music will release a brand new album "The Fading Ghosts Of Twilight" - by the new project called AGENTS OF MERCY.

The album will initially be a LTD edition Digipack with 77 minutes of brand new music.

Agents Of Mercy is a project spawned from a low key acoustic project that Roine Stolt set out to do in 2008, but after getting singer Nad Sylvan (Unifaun) on board to do a few "guest vocals" it turned into a full production prog album where Nad got more involved and did most of both lead and backing vocals on the album.

Songs got longer and more elaborated and more symphonic and the common love of late 60's and early 70's prog is all over this album.

A few favourite drummers tracked drums for the 12 tracks, Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson, XTC, Stickmen, Tuner etc.) Zoltan Cs÷rsz (TFK, Karmakanic) and Jimmy Keegan (Santana, Spocks Beard Live) the eccentric Biggo Zelfries (Walrus Farm) did most of the piano and analogue keyboards and TFK bassist Jonas Reingold add some fretless bass spice too.

Hi Dave

I'm holding back from the Agents of Mercy disk for a little bit until I've seen some reviews, maybe on DPRP.

Great pictures of Roine wink

Nice to see you back in the thread again smiley

How are things with you and Kitty?

Hi Nov! Kitty and I are doing fine. Kitty may be going into the hospital soon to have her gallbladder removed. It's been bothering her lately. Keep her in your thoughts. Glad you like the Roine photos. I pulled them from the official Kaipa site http://kaipa.info/

No news on any new Kaipa material, I see...

Lundin tends to take his time, but it's usually worth it. wink

last night we watched "Meet The Flower Kings" on our new 42" HD television - WOW! shocked

All I can say is I recommend the new LG brand HD T.V.s. The color spectrum on these sets is amazing. They have the ability to reveal colors you've never seen on a television before. MTFK is now even better to watch. Even though the DVD wasn't recorded in HD, an HD set makes it an even better viewing experience. For those of you who've not purchased the MTFK DVD yet, I highly recommend it wink
