Those pictures and many more are available at http://www.calprog.com

Once in the site, to the left of the screen, scroll down to CalProg 2005 PHOTOS BY CHRIS PETRO.

Through this site, I've found out about bands with big name musicians in 'em that I'd not heard of before; ie, KINO with Pete Trewavas (Marillion bassist), and AMAZING JOURNEY (Who tribute band), with Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater drummer), Paul Gilbert (ex-Mr. Big and Racer X guitarist) and Billy Sheehan (ex-YES guitarist).

Neal Morse played this venue in 2004 and was the inspiration for the first CalProg.

Yes, thanks for the pics, COT, and for the link! Will have to check it out.
Regarding Kino, I think Chris Maitland, ex PT drummer, was an original member too! smiley

Glad you had a great weekend Nikki. Sounds like a riot!!

"Summer of 69" eh? I actually sang that at the gig I played with my local band on Saturday night wink

"Tainted Love" - possibly the greatest pop song of the 80s in many ways (if you know what I mean). I think it's a classic.

I knew you'd like the TFK pictures. They're excellent aren't they?

Thanks for the mega pm by the way. I'll reply when I get a bit more time to do it justice but I'm trying to have earlier nights at the moment - conserving energy for the lads weekend in Jersey wink

What's your next TFK purchase going to be then?

Yep! That just about covers it! When someone set fire to the girls toilets and 5000 people had to get evacuated in the middle of 'Vertigo' during U2UK's set, and the fire brigade turned up, we had to have some pics with the lads and their big engine!!! wink

I actually have a big soft spot for this song, and 'Reckless' in general as you know, so i was joking i think .......... wink Just heard it so many times over the weekend!

You're right! Just bit overloaded with it!!!

They are a bit of a distraction yes........ grin

Yeah!!! Your turn Nov!!!
Want a full report by close of play on Monday right!!!
But we'll prob get the best bits on News At Ten anyway ......... wink

Hasse ......... is he for sale? grin
Seriously, going to go for Sardust We Are, definitely as i have to have it, and thats it!!!!! smiley
Also The Rainmaker as i get the feeling it's quite different to a lot of their stuff, and would like to try and get to grips with Hasse the whole TFK spectrum asap!!!
Well thats what i reckon today anyway!!! wink

And just what do you mean by that, young lady? Hmm?
There is nothing wrong with Liverpool that a tank full of piranhas couldn't fix! grin

However, there is one team I actually dislike more! And I am in a minority here, as they are usually portrayed as 'everyone's second team'. And that is the wonderful yellow shirted South Americans, Brazil.
Yes, it's true! I hate them with a passion. I never really mind who wins the World Cup (even France!) as long as Brazil don't.
Now that would be an interesting match - Liverpool v Brazil. And if it ever came off I am sure you can guess who I would want to win....
well, actually, I'd want Liverpool to win, so that should tell you something! Hee hee!

PS: glad you had a great weekend.
So tell me, are you feeling tainted, love? grin

Ha! laugh Great! So who do you want to win tomorrow night then!? You wouldn't want Chelsea to win surely! Did you see the Man U game? What a beautifully weighted pass from Scholes eh!

They've headed the direction of poodle skirts and duck tails, I guess. Out with the old, in with the new.

Roine's facial hair looks pretty cool though.
