I,ve returned to FK playing after about 6 months , sorry but I discovered PT rolleyes grin

Hey, no probs Gooner. TFK are a band that we'll be listening to forever so a 6 months break is nothing.

We've been keeping this thread going whilst you other guys have been having affairs with PT and Polish prog grin

An 'epics' tour eh? Just how many epics could they play in one night?
For example, 1) Garden Of Dreams - if they play the full version, there goes an hour, then 2) The Truth Will Set You Free - another half an hour, then 3) Devil's Playground - almost another half an hour. So there goes a two hour show, with maybe Love Supreme as an encore.
All good stuff, but even better would be a different set list every night - something TFK are quite capable of doing - and then we could hear different epics at each show. Could be an expensive few days though!
And then there would have to be the live dvd/cd double set special edition release.
I think I may just be a tad interested in that. wink grin

Having been playing a lot of Karmakanic recently, I still get amazed at Jonas's superb technical ability. And his song writing skills aren't that shabby either. So we have four writers in TFK. Although Roine is, of course, the main man, he is ably backed up by Tomas, Jonas and even Hasse at times. Always the sign of a good group that, strong songwriting, just like Genesis, 10cc etc...

Hey Carl,

Would you be a good egg (like you are wink) and head over to the TFK thread on the "official" forum coz the guys are asking about Tomas's solo albums and you're more of an expert than me on those.

Thanks mate

If you're talking about the official Genesis forum, doesn't that cost money to join?

Otherwise, which site are you talking about Nov?

I've cut and paste my favourite albums of 2008 from another thread here. The Karmakanic album was just pipped to the post by Riverside's live album.
Wonderful, wonderful music.

....I simply must get the other couple of albums (which i have yet to hear) smiley

Favourite Albums:

Riverside - Reality Dream
Karmakanic - Who's The Boss In The Factory
Millenium - Exist
Nosound - Lightdark
Sylvan - Leaving Backstage
Unitopia - The Garden
Moonrise - The Lights Of A Distant Bay
Osada Vida - The Body Parts Party
RPWL - The RPWL Experience ( not sure if it will count)
After - Hideout

I'm a big fan of the Hammond organ sound, so Vintage Prog is a big favorite of mine.

The Hasse Bruniusson disc takes a bit of getting used to. It's very much in the Zappa (Frank) vein. The band is very tight.

Glad you're enjoying the discs Ned wink

I am talking about the "official" forum. I thought you were a member on there Dave?

I've never paid a penny to be a member to be honest. I was on the forum before that and was taken in as a legacy member (or something).

It's much more American orientated whereas this one is much more British. To be honest I much prefer this forum as it's more homely wink

I've tried logging in with my old username and password, but it doesn't recognize them. They want $35 to join. They can shove it up their you-know-what wink

Played Adam and Eve the other day.
Really like Love Supreme.

Tried a bit of Death Numb and Blind too. I'm not fully reconciled to this band but perhaps we were always meant to be just good friends.

Well that's fine though isn't it Steve?

I think the last album really dented your enthusiasm but around the time of Paradox Hotel and the Rotherham gig you were really into them and that's a great memory to have wink

I'm sure they'll come out with stuff in the future to relight your fire. Maybe with this "Agents of Mercy" album that is soon to come out wink

I'd just like to say at this point that, in my humble opinion, These Flower Kings chappies are quite alright in my book...one might even be tempted to go overboard somewhat and use the adverb - tasty. shocked
