I think they are busy with solo projects (you must get the latest Karmakanic album for example!) and other collaberations at the moment. I also think that Roine feels it's time to give the prog world a bit of a breather from TFK for a year or two. They have been pretty prolific for the last 14 years after all.

I'm sure they'll be back though and hopefully before the year is out. We must all try to get to at least a couple of shows when the time comes wink

In the meantime, have you sat Oz down with a few beers and shown him the "Instant Delivery" and "MTFK" DVDs?

Cheers

I'd love to see another Roine solo effort, plus maybe he could guest on a new Tangent album, and maybe even another Kaipa album, though I realize that Andy Tillison is busy in the studio with his most recent bandmates creating a new Tangent release.

Has anyone heard Tomas Bodin's latest effort, "Cinematograaf"?
There are a couple of songs from the album on his MySpace site http://www.myspace.com/tomasbodinkeyboard

So guys, which 3 songs would you most like to see TFK perform live?

I've been lucky enough to see them a few times and seen them play many of their best epics but I'd love to hear them play these ones:

1) Monsters and Men

2) Big Puzzle

3) Deaf, Numb and Blind

Your wish is my command......

Very soon more details about AGENTS OF MERCY:

Tentative release date March 1st .
First as a LTD version digipac. only from Flowerkings merchandising and private progvendors.

Content :12 songs
Time: 77min .
Players:Swedish & American contributors.
Style: vintage prog - strong Beatles-Genesis influences- with emphasis on vocal arrangements -

November 6, 2008

"Agents Of Mercy" is a completely different animal, just songs, but songs with plenty and rich vocal arrangements and heavy beats that probably would sit somewhere in between late Lennon, early Bowie and Gabriel era G-sis but mostly Stolt - well, one or two miniepics too.

And I am NOT the only lead singer, rather secondary.

Now DON*T take my word for it ,( I hate reading about my pre-hypes) but since you start speculate this is ALL I can give you for now.

There will be NO preview ex's of CD's sent out before release (so f-ck the idiots that upload our CD's on the net before it's released) and I frankly don't know if I even have a record label behind me - but this is among the best things I've done so far - and a bit different.

Roine.

December 26, 2008

It started out as an acoustic scaled down album - but along the way there were elements of symphonic bombasm creepin' in alongside more acoustic shorter tunes - plenty of vocals - I got f-ckin' hijacked by a Bohemian Rhapsody Squad....... and UPS delivered ALL of Tony Banks vintage 70's keyboards to this address since Tony just discovered there is something called
software "plug ins", so he didn't need them.

Agents tunes are .........very vintage .......back to fat boomy drums or that annoying jazztuning of early Bruford 68....... The Tambourine is a centerpiece in this production - I've built EVERYTHING around that Tambo.

Sounds ? Probably Early Genesis meets Beatles White Album - or Refugee meets early Bowie or Queen. ELO meets Debussy or ITCOTCK. Thinking of it - it sounds like the ghost of Wind & Wuthering and maybe a bit of Lamb crept in too ........ I can't help that, not my fault.

What do I know - I just try to stay sane and have fun as I go along.

It's a mix of everything - I guess that spells = prog.

"Is it any good ?" - don't ask me. But I hope it is.

Roine.

January 12, 2009

Personally I'm about to start mix of my latest project "Agents Of Mercy" that I will give you more detailed info about in a couple of days (Official statement ahead) and if you all progsters are lucky the record will be available first in a special LTD edition already as a "From TFK website ONLY" CD Album sale in late February. ( paypal ) At this point I'm digesting to NOT have any full snippets of mix up for preview (on coming MySpace) - but rather a few "Work in progress" things - this means you will be hearing chunks of vocal overdubs - drumtracks - stripped backgrounds and bare basstracks. This is to both give insight to " Building the Agents Of Mercy" and give you a chance to hear unique layers you won't be hearing anywhere else . (and because it's good fun of course) Hey you could even add your own vocal or guitar over a cool background . !!!! (Maybe we should make a competition for all the musicians here ?)

Roine.

I'm actually looking more forward to this solo release than I was the last TFK release. Roine's solo stuff is so much more......well.........predictably awesome! grin

I guess Toma's latest release, "Cinematograaf," is written more along the lines of a movie score than his usual keyboard frenzy-type material.

I'm very much looking forward to hearing "Agents Of Mercy."

I'm rather looking forward to this release as well. cheesy
By the way, does anyone know if Tomas's album is available anywhere other than on his website? I've looked in a few places, but drawn a blank so far. undecided
