How nice to see you again, young watshername! I presume the lack of attention we've been getting means your patients have at last been getting the attention they've been sadly missing! laugh

As for The Porcupine Kings, well, they're wonderful, aren't they? And another great band to look out for are The Flower Tree. Both are most excellent. wink

I almost shit myself when I saw Zoltan on drums, until I read that this was in 2002. I sure hope the new TFK band members are up to snuff.

Well one can only take so much of Steve Wilson's dark thoughts before one needs some of Roine's spiritual out-pourings.

Have we? Why wasn't I notified about this? And why Whitby? It can be bl**dy cold there this time of year. I think the whole idea is simply a rather pathetic excuse to drink a lot, eat a lot, talk a lot, and, er, get to know each other a lot. Intimately. And I'm far too shy and old for that sort of palaver. So there. tongue

(By the way, does anyone have a timetable for Whitby trains? For a friend, of course.) embarassed

Thought it was about time I gave my current ranking of TFK's albums.
Did this last night on the 'official' forum, so I don't think it's changed today yet, but you never know! wink

1) Flower Power
2) Unfold The Future
3) Adam & Eve
4) Paradox Hotel
5) The Rainmaker
6) The Sum Of No Evil
7) Back In The World Of Adventures
8) Retropolis
9) Stardust We Are
10) Space Revolver

Doubtless this order will be seen as 'controversial' by some FK fans, but don't worry folks, it's bound to change again soon!
A & E reclaims its number three spot, though PH is quite capable of knocking it off again at some point!
SWA is the biggest faller, though I can't quite put my finger on why I have it so low. undecided
The Rainmaker and TSONE are in positions that will no doubt bring gasps of astonishment from some fans. Still, that can only be a good thing if it awakens some members from their slumber. (Not that I'm suggesting there hasn't been much activity on this thread lately - perish the thought!) wink

I'll be interested to see some other people's current lists. (Hint, hint.) laugh

Paradox Hotel, Adam and Eve and Space Revolver are my top three tfk albums. Haven't listened to them for a while but they are great favourites of mine.

That is the wonder of music and our favourites. I never play Adam and Eve simply because it is my least favourite FK album. This will be the same for fans of all band who will have a certain album as their all time favourite while others choose alternatives. If we all liked the same things in life then the planet would be a very dull place. I will allow us all to like Genesis then but not green beans. grin

Adam and Eve is, for me, a very rewarding album. smiley Certainly up with the best of them, but i can't see past Flower Power, which is sublime.

Stardust we are was my first and still my favourite album followed closely by Unfold the Future.
