Guys,

Just signing off for a couple of weeks as I'm off to LA tomorrow (Saturday) for a course.

I'm hoping to meet up with Dave (CoT) next weekend for Calprog (www.calprog.com) which is a pretty decent line-up and fits in very nicely with my visit.

Take care y'all and please look after this thread and keep it ticking over in my absence. If I can get to an internet machine over in LA I'll post from there wink

The Flower Kings forever!!!

Take care

Nov

You'll actually be 8 hours ahead of Nov when he returns. By the end of next week, he'll be accustomed to Pacific Time, 8 hours earlier. He'll be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed..............well, I don't want to envision that, but you know what I mean. grin

Nov PM'd me today from his posh hotel here in SoCal. He said he is probably going to the Gabble Ratchet (Genesis trib band) gig on Friday, but is not sure about CalProg on Saturday. Kitty and I are only going to CalProg, and not the Gabble Ratchet gig, so I hope Nov decides to go and we can meet up with him.

I tried tempting him with chicken salad sandwiches (snack between sets), dinner and cold beer, so I hope we can snag him for the day and enjoy Presto Ballet, IZZ, Echolyn and Sylvan, a 12-hour prog extravaganza!

In the past, I almost got to meet Wendy and Steve, but they decided not to come to America and vacationed somewhere in England. I definitely do want to meet Nov as he's the bloke who brought The Flower Kings into my life. What a guy! wink

Don't forget to report back soon, young Nov. wink

Reporting back as requested wink

It's now 21:45 here and I've just had 2 or 3 bottles of Amstel so I'm still having a really hard time of it.

Not sure what's happened to the blue sky though coz it's all black out-side!

Actually, the days on the courses are pretty hard work. It's an 8am start and all pretty intensive stuff. I've just got back to the hotel and I'm flippin knackered!!

Funnily enough, when we went to Illinois to visit our friends, jet lag never affected me at all.
I tend to be lucky that way. When I need to be awake, I am, and when I want to sleep, I do.
(Trouble is, the older I get, the more I tend to sleep these days. I watched that programme on narcalepsy last night, and nodded off near the end...) rolleyes

I notice, weekend break or not, you've got seemingly constant access to the internet there. Just like home from home really.
Maybe you should get the rest of The Phantoms over there and give an impromptu concert for the locals.
It would be a busman's holiday for you. (Or a Novman's holiday, in your case.)
Hope you're spreading the word about TFK while you're there mate. wink
