So good you said it twice grin

I also really like "Fake Plastic Trees" plus other Radiohead tracks such as "High and Dry" and "No Surprises".

I much prefer their more ballady type songs to their teeth-grating attempts at thrashing through prog-type songs. They should leave that kind of stuff to better musicians wink

shocked

Ooh goody, Radiohead. They must be, along with Coldplay, one of my favourite bands of all time.

Can't find the damn soap to wash my mouth out with anywhere! cry

grin

Each to their own, of course.

It was the second gig we've done in the last couple of months where the organisers just didn't market it well enough. So we ended up playing to about 40 people staring at us the whole night whilst we're working our nuts off (well, apart from Kate grin) with no bugger prepared to get up and dance. We played at the same hall last year and there were twice as many people there and they'd all said they wanted us back but then let the organisers down. Then we feel we ought to lower our fee a bit so that the organisers don't take a loss but then.........bugger that coz we've still put the same amount of effort in (if not more). Anyway, we played well so that's good practice.

Hopefully The Phantoms crowd will be a bit more up for it on Saturday wink

10 o'Clock Curfew have got a couple of gigs in July if you're interested, more suited to bringing the whole family along. One is at the Bluntisham Village Fair on the afternoon of July 12th with several other bands. It's free!! The other is at the Cross Keys pub in Upwood on the afternoon of Sunday July 27th. We're playing in a marquee in the paddock and there's a BBQ as well. Should be a really nice family-type gig. Our drummers away so Alun from The Phantoms is stepping in for us. So. if you fancy a little trip up the A1......wink

I think this thread can cope with the odd sub-discussion about inferior groups to TFK every now and again wink

Well, they've got these few Summer festivals and other gigs in the States, then I think they'll record another album with these new guys and then hopefully tour with that. I reckon it'll be next Spring to be realistic.

See you Saturday
kiss
