You're in for a treat when Deadwing arrives Fraser.
FOABP is good, but not one of my favourite PT albums. In Absentia is probably many PT fans' favourite album, and I do enjoy it, (apart from 'Strip The Soul'),but for me, the greatest of the last three studio albums is the superb Deadwing.
If you like the other two, you'll love Deadwing! wink

...having said that...here I am writing about the wonders of PT, and at the time what I'm actually listening to is the quite sublime Kite by After!!

...10 and a half minutes of sheer brilliance! wink

...just got to the bit at 8 minutes where it really kicks off!

...and all this on The Flower Kings thread as well Fraser, tut tut! wink

It's great to hear there are still bands out there who can cut the mustard, so to speak.
This really is the second golden age of prog, imo.

Taking a rest from Polish music today shocked

The Flower Kings ~ Flower Power.

Oh yes this is just brilliant to come back to.... cool Soon be up to "Shadowland" which is one of my favourite tracks by the band. The way it blends into "The Final Deal" is also superb!
