Was out of the office all day yesterday so only picked it up this morning and have not had the opportunity to play it until now.
The kids are in bed, Mrs Fad is at work and everything is done & organised.
So my reward is total peace for a couple of hours and a rare oportunity to have the first listen of an album without having to do something else at the same time!!...(have only just realised how rare that is!)

...ahh! - BLISS !... cool

I think you'll enjoy it Fraser. There 's some heavier stuff on there (which I know you enjoy) and the tracks are clearly defined and more accessible than some of their other albums. The shorter tracks realy grow on you after a while as well.

I'm really starting to enjoy this album after being initially a tad disappointed in it. For my money, it's worth it for the 4 long tracks alone:

Last Minute on Earth
Road To Sanctuary
City Of Angels (a beautiful ending!)
Serious Dreamers

Imagine those 4 tracks on a vinyl LP (2 on each side). It would be excellent.

I envy you Lesley, hearing it for the first time cool

I'll just say .......... Rhythm Of The Sea grin
Brilliant cool
I listened to that driving over the Severn Bridge once and it was just perfect.
The early evening summer sun was glistening off the water and the music fitted the scene perfectly.
I'll never forget that as long as i live smiley
I remember thinking .......
Jeez, this lot are bloody fantastic smiley

See what you've done Nov? Mention the Welsh Wonder and it's as sure as eggs is eggs (aching men's feet) she'll turn up and take over the whole show again! grin
Nikki, I did like your joke though about RumbleFish Twist being instrumental...very good.
Of course, as a nurse of some years standing (or sitting) you are well versed in instruments of every kind. Most of them gleaming in a most unpleasant and steely way! (Not Steely Dan, note.)
I'm thinking of writing the lyrics for a brand new, death metal song. It might start something like this:

Lying on a mortuary slab
My feet point east and west
Today I'm feeling less than fab
Due to the bullet hole in my chest...etc etc

Chirpy and catchy eh? Imagine thunderous guitars and bass drums pounding as the singer shrieks out the words...

The chorus could go something like this...

But I forgive my killer
For I saw envy in her eyes,
Yes I forgive poor Cilla
Though I was taken by Surprise, Surprise!

(Imagine Gildenlow singing that!)

Ok, ok, I'll shut up now... embarassed wink
