Yes I'm back on my TFK trip now! grin

Keep trying to get to listen to Back In The World Of Adventures but just can't stop playing Flower Power (who'd of thunk it!)

No I haven't any gigs lined up! embarassed

Nov mentioned Piers' band had one in April and I like the sound of that but have heard nothing about it since!

I am really out of touch I'm afraid!...I was promoted just prior to the christmas break and my new role has just eaten up all my time, energy and concentration!! undecided...I just haven't stopped for two and a half months now!...it was only a couple of weeks ago that I realised I had almost stopped listening to music! shocked

I'm on a seriously steep learning-curve and to be totally frank I'm in serious need of lettin off some steam...you know what they say - "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"!!

So any suggestions will be most welcome...I really, really, really need to get to my first gig of 2008!

That "THE TANGENT / BEARDFISH / RITUAL" gig in May sounds tempting...is anyone going to this?

Well seeing as i have adopted 'Stupid Girl' as my own personal theme song grin (The clues in the title rolleyes), it follows that i'm rather partial to it laugh laugh laugh
The whole of Flower Power is incredible, and disc 2 is just brilliant.
By the time it gets to Magic Pie ( Mega important track for me personally smiley) and Painter, i'm completely in the TFK zone with no hope of escape wink laugh

But then again i've been in there for the last year and a bit so no change there then really laugh wink

So .......... how is everyone then? kiss

Welcome back, Queen of the Squonks!
Personally speaking, I'm fine, ty.
Glad to hear you have adopted 'Stupid Girl'. Not because you are, but because it's a great track!
Think I'll adopt 'Soul Vortex', I love the music and I love the name!
'Painter', yep, there's another gem. Some brilliant harmonies on there.
Anyway, don't get me started on 'Flower Power' again.
Instead, how's this for a modern instrumental power trio?

Guitar - Roine Stolt
Bass - Chris Squire
Drums - Phil Collins

Wouldn't they just produce the goods big time?
And all three could add vocals if required. But personally, I'd love to just hear them jamming and improvising.
A name for the band? How about:
The Squoltins Improvisational Band.
(Taken from their surnames of course!)

Enough rambling, bed beckons...
Night all! wink

Really sorry guys.

We (i.e "10 o'clock Curfew") were waiting to hear back from someone who wanted to book us to play on April 19th or 26th. They've decided on 26th April so I won't be able to make the G2 gig in Otford.

On the plus side, who can make it to see my debut on bass guitar for The Phantoms on Saturday 21st June at The Grey Horse? I'd love it if some of you could come along and support me and the band at that one. We've got a great band supporting us as well wink

Cheers

Nov

Yeah...I know! rolleyes...I just found it on a location map on the G2 site

Sounds good to me if I can organise travel etc...(don't suppose Otford is well-blessed with accommodation by any chance!)

What have you been playing Nikki?

What are your top 3 TFK albums? (rather, what are the other two apart from "Flower Power"?) grin
