Our Polish friend, Mr Demolinski, speaks the truth, verily. Time is what is needed. That and a drink or two (alcoholic or not, whichever takes your fancy) and in my case, a cigar or two. cheesy
Both dvds are brilliant.

Amazing stuff.

I've just listened to "Back In The World Of Adventures" for the very first time.

I love it, an instant hit with me!

"Go West Judas" sounds so much like "Corruption"

Awesome The Flower Kings cool cool

I didn't realise you hadn't heard BITWOA before, Colin.
It's a fantastic debut, isn't it?
I haven't got a favourite track on it really, I like them all, though 'Big Puzzle' is the leading contender really. smiley

Incredible stuff. Never did I think I would instantly love an album by The Flower Kings.
Maybe I just knew what to expect grin

Only Adam and Eve to play now. (yes I have it)

Incredible stuff really. I first got Retropolis as a sampler (Thanks Nedflanders), liked it but thought "wow, this is odd".
Then I heard Paradox Hotel and thought "No"

Now I love the band cool

Flower Power YES!

This is great DM smiley

"World of Adventures" is a prog rock classic as far as I'm concerned. The whole album is brilliant. It has everything a fan of prog rock could possibly want in an album. It's just a shame it didn't sell millions - maybe it will over time as the word gradually spreads.

They should be selling out arenas and putting on awesome light shows as far as I'm concerned. Imagine something like "Big Puzzle" in a sold out arena with a Genesis or Floyd scale light show shocked
I get goose-bumps just thinking about it.

Can you spot the little nod of respect to Genesis in the title track (listen between 7:50 and 8:00 wink )

Big Puzzle is the track that really sent me into a frenzy on this album as Nov, Carl and Steve will tell you, they had to put up with my enthusiastic ramblings at the time rolleyes wink Bless em kiss
It's still one of my all time fave TFK tracks, no question smiley

Yes, and quite why Nikki likes it so much is a, erm, big puzzle to many of us....
Ok, I'll get my coat. grin

Today played:

Scanning The Greenhouse.

I think this compilation is really well put together. Although the tracks come from three different albums, they all sound as if they could belong on the same album really. An indication of how the band's sound has remained constant, whilst never repeating itself.

Good stuff! cheesy
